The great sages of old
never told us
that life could be eternal.

Everything born will eventually fade away,
all things will disintegrate,
become dust and ashes,
bones piled high like mountains,
tears of remembrance,
vast as the oceans.
The only thing left is a name.
Who can escape the cycle?

Birth is the nature
of all things,
death is the norm.
Struggle is part of life,
to preserve life,
living together in society,
for equality.
The buffalo is a warrior,
starting with two empty hands.
