Accompaniment
with
guitars
by
Guillermo
Desiderio
Barbieri,
the
"second
guitar",
the
"Negro"
Barbieri
was
the
oldest
guitarist
when
the
accident
occurred
in
Medellin
(where
he
died).
He
had
joined
in
1921,
when
Gardel
was
still
performing
in
a
duet
with
Razzano,
Gardel
called
it
"the
Beard",
it
was
discovered
in
the
city
of
Lincoln,
in
the
province
of
Buenos
Aires,
during
a
tour
of
the
Gardel-Razzano
duo
in
the
interior
of
Argentina
and
José
María
Aguilar
the
latter
joined
the
Gardel
group
in
1928.
Aguilar's
debut
came
on
July
18,
1928.
He
was
called
"the
Indian"
and
his
bad
temper
led
him
to
leave
Gardel's
accompaniment
on
several
occasions,
although
he
always
returned
after
his
anger.
Tema:
La
bruja
es
embrujada
y
se
multiplican
los
mordiscos
y
filtros
fatales.
Theme:
The
witch
is
bewitched
and
the
fatal
bites
and
filters
multiply.
Una
vez,
en
momentos
de
encanto,
Once,
in
moments
of
enchantment,
Una
bruja,
de
amor
me
embrujó,
A
witch,
of
love
bewitched
me,
Con
sus
ojos
tan
grandes
y
llenos
With
her
eyes
so
big
and
full
De
fuego,
más
fuerte,
que
el
fuego
del
sol.
Of
fire,
stronger,
than
the
fire
of
the
sun.
No
pudiendo,
desde
ese
momento,
Not
being
able,
from
that
moment,
Ser
ya
dueño
de
mí,
sucedió
To
already
own
me,
it
happened
Que
la
bruja
jugaba
conmigo,
That
the
witch
was
playing
with
me,
Cual
nadie
en
el
mundo
con
otro
jugó.
Which
no
one
in
the
world
played
with
another.
La
tirana
vendóme
la
vista
The
tyrant
sold
me
the
sight
Con
un
velo
de
loca
ilusión,
With
a
veil
of
crazy
illusion,
Y
sus
dientes
preciosos
se
hincaron
And
his
precious
teeth
sank
in
En
el
fondo
de
mi
corazón.
In
the
bottom
of
my
heart.
Como
fruta
que
endulza
el
ensueño
Like
a
fruit
that
sweetens
the
dream
Y
que
amarga,
también,
el
dolor,
And
how
bitter,
too,
the
pain,
Fue
para
ella
mi
carne
sensible
It
was
for
her
my
sensitive
flesh
Y
dióme
su
boca
nefasto
licor.
And
he
gave
me
the
evil
liquor
from
his
mouth.
Pero
al
fin,
con
alquimias
y
magias,
But
at
last,
with
alchemy
and
magic,
A
la
bruja
logré
dominar:
I
managed
to
dominate
the
witch:
Mis
pupilas,
de
incendio
iracundas,
My
pupils,
of
angry
fire,
Sus
hondas
pupilas
pudieron
quemar.
His
deep
pupils
could
have
burned.
Desde
entonces
no
supo
la
pérfida
Since
then
he
did
not
know
the
perfidious
Seguir
siendo
mi
bruja
fatal
To
continue
to
be
my
fatal
witch
Y
mis
manos
jugaron
con
ella,
And
my
hands
played
with
her,
Cual
niño
con
una
muñeca
banal.
Like
a
child
with
a
banal
doll.
Su
mirada
velé
con
el
velo
I
veiled
her
gaze
with
the
veil
De
una
trama
sutil
y
falaz,
Of
a
subtle
and
fallacious
plot,
Y
mis
dientes
mordieron
su
carne
And
my
teeth
bit
into
his
flesh
Perfumada,
con
gesto
voraz.
Perfumed,
with
a
voracious
gesture.
A
su
vez
fue
mi
fruta
la
bella,
In
turn
it
was
my
fruit
the
beautiful,
Amarga,
meliflua,
letal;
Bitter,
mellifluous,
lethal;
En
su
boca
mis
labios
pusieron
In
his
mouth
my
lips
put
El
antídoto
contra
su
mal.
The
antidote
to
his
evil.
Es
así
como
ahora
conozco
That's
how
I
know
now
Los
misterios
de
toda
pasión,
The
mysteries
of
every
passion,
Y
doy
filtros,
consejos
y
drogas
And
I
give
filters,
tips
and
drugs
A
niñas
que
quieran
ser
brujas
de
amor.
To
girls
who
want
to
be
love
witches.
