And we went into the writer room, we had never met Joe before

We were like, "What is that?" and we kinda laughed and made fun of him
When he was turned around, which is awful, but he knows

And then we were kinda like, "Wait a minute this might be really fun and cool"
And I had just started dating my boyfriend
And he took a few months to kiss me and I was mad and was annoyed and so
Of course as any true female artist would do
You're gonna be put in my song

And we wrote this song so fast and it kinda has
I hear it in the phrasing and just the, the melody
I hear Alisson in there just with kind of her more urban side
And the spit-fire lyric and just the images of you know, we want
I think most girls are traditional especially in the South
And they want the guy to make the first move, but
Dang, waiting a few months is a long time

J'ai écrit ça avec Alisson, mon amie, et, euhm
Un mec qui s'appelle Joe Ginsberg que j'adore
Et on est allés dans une salle d'écriture, on n'avait jamais rencontré Joe avant
Donc voici le duo dynamique de choc
Et Joe nous a joué cette étrange piste de banjo qui avait presque une ambiance orientale
On a fait genre "C'est quoi ça ?" et on s'est moqués de lui
Quand il avait le dos tourné, c'est vraiment pas cool, mais il le sait

Et puis on s'est dit : "Attends une minute, ça pourrait être vraiment cool et amusant"
Et je venais de commencer à sortir avec mon copain
