Well, I say let's go ahead and, and dive into this album
Because there's some songs on here that I had a lot of fun
Thinking about what I wanted to ask you
And listening to 'em 'cause I was really studying the lyrics
And listening to everything

Now first of all we're gonna talk about "Hide The Wine"
I love this song because to me it was kind of like a twist
On a single woman's drunk dial, uh
You've gotta guy who you know if you start drinking
You're gonna start making all the wrong decisions that you'll regret
So talk to me a little bit about "Hide The Wine"
And have been in this place?

So I love red wine and I feel like everybody knows that at this point
And actually was pitched this song
This is one that I didn't write that Hillary Lindsey who's an amazing songwriter wrote
And my publisher Daniel pitched it to me about a year and a half ago
When I didn't have anything going on

He's like, "Hey, I just want you to hear this song"
And from the moment it started I'm looking at him like, "Uh, yeah, I want this song"
And he looked at me, and he said, "Uhm, well it's on hold for another artist"
And I'm like, "Why did you play me this song if I can't have it?"
And he's like, "I just think that we need to listen to this
And find you something like this 'cause from a production standpoint
From the way she's singing the lyrics", just
It had this kind of grassy feel to it that I grew up loving
And, was in a bluegrass band

And just what it says it's just a fun song
I don't know I just think like you said, I think so many girls my age
And women have been there, and it's just like a fun kind of strong way
Of saying it for women, I think the drunk dial

Well, yeah, like I love that line, uhm
"It's a dangerous thing pouring alcohol in an old flame"
I thought how clever is that (right?)
What a great line
And uh I also I love the reference of Trader Joe's, Two-Buck Chuck

Live, people go crazy over that that's like their favorite line
Yeah, it's like, who doesn't know that?
Everybody's been there

But, you know, before we get to playing the song
I wondered, uhm, I know that you are still learning but you are a wine enthusiast
So I have to ask your favorite type of wine?
And do you have a favorite wine or a go to that you can share with people?

Yes, I certainly do
Well, first of all the only kind for me is red
And I love Cabernet
I used to really like Pinot Noir, but I think the older I get
The more I like just dry full-bodied wine
So I have two on the spectrum here
So my cheap go to red wine is called Freakshow
And it is awesome

But it's like a really crazy label looks like a circus kind of but it's awesome
I get it at Publix
And, uhm, my splurge wine a.k.a. when busbee wants to buy me wine
Which is, you know when we've finished the album
And Scott Borchetta has given it to me a few times
'Cause he knows I like it um it's Caymus
C-A-Y-M-U-S, it is definitely not in my price range
But, oh, my goodness, it is awesome

So if anybody wants to get you a gift, Caymus
Gift to me Caymus please
Any of, any of the years I'll take it

Oh, sehr cool
Nun, ich würde sagen, lass uns gleich mal in dieses Album eintauchen
Denn es gibt hier einige Songs, bei denen ich viel Spaß hatte
darüber nachzudenken, was ich dich fragen wollte
und sie anzuhören, weil ich die Texte wirklich studiert habe
und alles angehört habe

So, als Erstes sprechen wir über „Hide The Wine“
Ich liebe diesen Song, weil er für mich eine Art Wendung war
zum betrunkenen Anruf einer Single-Frau, äh
Du hast einen Kerl, bei dem du weißt, wenn du anfängst zu trinken
wirst du anfangen, all die falschen Entscheidungen zu treffen, die du bereuen wirst
Also erzähl mir ein bisschen was über „Hide The Wine“
Und warst du schon mal in dieser Situation?

Also, ich liebe Rotwein und ich glaube, das weiß inzwischen jeder
Und tatsächlich wurde mir dieser Song angeboten
Das ist einer, den ich nicht geschrieben habe, sondern Hillary Lindsey, eine großartige Songwriterin, hat ihn geschrieben
Und mein Verleger Daniel hat ihn mir vor etwa anderthalb Jahren vorgeschlagen
Als bei mir noch nichts los war

Er meinte: „Hey, ich will nur, dass du diesen Song hörst“
Und von dem Moment an, als er anfing, schaue ich ihn an und denke: „Äh, ja, ich will diesen Song“
Und er sah mich an und sagte: „Ähm, nun, er ist für eine andere Künstlerin reserviert“
Und ich denke mir: „Warum hast du mir diesen Song vorgespielt, wenn ich ihn nicht haben kann?“
Und er meinte: „Ich denke nur, wir müssen uns das anhören
und etwas Ähnliches für dich finden, denn vom Produktionsstandpunkt her,
von der Art, wie sie den Text singt“, einfach
Er hatte dieses Art Bluegrass-Gefühl, das ich seit meiner Kindheit liebe
Und ich war in einer Bluegrass-Band

Und genau das, was er aussagt, es ist einfach ein lustiger Song
Ich weiß nicht, ich denke einfach, wie du gesagt hast, ich glaube, so viele Mädchen in meinem Alter
und Frauen waren schon mal da, und es ist einfach eine lustige, starke Art
es für Frauen auszudrücken, ich denke, der betrunkene Anruf

Nun ja, zum Beispiel liebe ich diese Zeile, ähm
„Es ist gefährlich, Alkohol auf eine alte Flamme zu gießen“
Ich dachte, wie clever ist das (richtig?)
Was für eine großartige Zeile
Und äh, ich liebe auch den Bezug zu Trader Joe's, Two-Buck Chuck

Live drehen die Leute deswegen durch, das ist wie ihre Lieblingszeile
Ja, es ist so, wer kennt das nicht?
Jeder war schon mal da

Aber weißt du, bevor wir den Song spielen
Ich habe mich gefragt, ähm, ich weiß, dass du noch lernst, aber du bist eine Weinliebhaberin
Also muss ich nach deiner Lieblingsweinsorte fragen?
Und hast du einen Lieblingswein oder einen Standardwein, den du mit Leuten teilen kannst?

Ja, das habe ich definitiv
Nun, zuallererst kommt für mich nur Rotwein in Frage
Und ich liebe Cabernet
Früher mochte ich Pinot Noir sehr gerne, aber ich glaube, je älter ich werde,
desto mehr mag ich einfach trockenen, vollmundigen Wein
Also habe ich hier zwei auf dem Spektrum

Was vorkommt, weißt du, wenn wir das Album fertiggestellt haben
Und Scott Borchetta hat ihn mir ein paar Mal geschenkt
Weil er weiß, dass ich ihn mag, ähm, es ist Caymus
C-A-Y-M-U-S, der ist definitiv nicht in meiner Preisklasse
Aber, oh, meine Güte, er ist großartig
