Well, I say let's go ahead and, and dive into this album
Because there's some songs on here that I had a lot of fun
Thinking about what I wanted to ask you
And listening to 'em 'cause I was really studying the lyrics
And listening to everything

Now first of all we're gonna talk about "Hide The Wine"
I love this song because to me it was kind of like a twist
On a single woman's drunk dial, uh
You've gotta guy who you know if you start drinking
You're gonna start making all the wrong decisions that you'll regret
So talk to me a little bit about "Hide The Wine"
And have been in this place?

So I love red wine and I feel like everybody knows that at this point
And actually was pitched this song
This is one that I didn't write that Hillary Lindsey who's an amazing songwriter wrote
And my publisher Daniel pitched it to me about a year and a half ago
When I didn't have anything going on

He's like, "Hey, I just want you to hear this song"
And from the moment it started I'm looking at him like, "Uh, yeah, I want this song"
And he looked at me, and he said, "Uhm, well it's on hold for another artist"
And I'm like, "Why did you play me this song if I can't have it?"
And he's like, "I just think that we need to listen to this
And find you something like this 'cause from a production standpoint
From the way she's singing the lyrics", just
It had this kind of grassy feel to it that I grew up loving
And, was in a bluegrass band

And just what it says it's just a fun song
I don't know I just think like you said, I think so many girls my age
And women have been there, and it's just like a fun kind of strong way
Of saying it for women, I think the drunk dial

Well, yeah, like I love that line, uhm
"It's a dangerous thing pouring alcohol in an old flame"
I thought how clever is that (right?)
What a great line
And uh I also I love the reference of Trader Joe's, Two-Buck Chuck

Live, people go crazy over that that's like their favorite line
Yeah, it's like, who doesn't know that?
Everybody's been there

But, you know, before we get to playing the song
I wondered, uhm, I know that you are still learning but you are a wine enthusiast
So I have to ask your favorite type of wine?
And do you have a favorite wine or a go to that you can share with people?

Yes, I certainly do
Well, first of all the only kind for me is red
And I love Cabernet
I used to really like Pinot Noir, but I think the older I get
The more I like just dry full-bodied wine
So I have two on the spectrum here
So my cheap go to red wine is called Freakshow
And it is awesome

But it's like a really crazy label looks like a circus kind of but it's awesome
I get it at Publix
And, uhm, my splurge wine a.k.a. when busbee wants to buy me wine
Which is, you know when we've finished the album
And Scott Borchetta has given it to me a few times
'Cause he knows I like it um it's Caymus
C-A-Y-M-U-S, it is definitely not in my price range
But, oh, my goodness, it is awesome

So if anybody wants to get you a gift, Caymus
Gift to me Caymus please
Any of, any of the years I'll take it

Eh bien, je propose qu'on y aille, qu'on se plonge dans cet album
Parce qu'il y a quelques chansons ici qui m'ont bien amusée
En pensant à ce que je voulais te demander
Et en les écoutant parce que j'étudiais vraiment les paroles
Et que j'écoutais tout

Tout d'abord, on va parler de "Cache le vin"
J'adore cette chanson parce que pour moi, c'était un peu comme une variation
Sur le coup de fil d'une femme célibataire sous l'emprise de l'alcool, euh
Tu as ce mec que tu connais, si tu commences à boire
Tu vas commencer à prendre toutes les mauvaises décisions que tu vas regretter
Alors parle-moi un peu de "Cache le vin"
Et t'es-tu déjà retrouvée dans cette situation?

Alors j'adore le vin rouge et j'ai l'impression que tout le monde le sait à ce stade
Et en fait, on m'a présenté cette chanson
C'est une chanson que je n'ai pas écrite, c'est Hillary Lindsey, une compositrice incroyable, qui l'a écrite
Et mon éditeur Daniel me l'a présentée il y a environ un an et demi
Quand je n'avais rien en cours

Il m'a dit : "Hé, je veux juste que tu écoutes cette chanson"
Et dès qu'elle a commencé, je l'ai regardé en mode : "Euh, ouais, je veux cette chanson"
Et il m'a regardée et m'a dit : "Euh, eh bien, elle est en attente pour une autre artiste"
Et j'étais là : "Pourquoi tu me fais écouter cette chanson si je ne peux pas l'avoir ?"
Et il m'a dit : "Je pense juste qu'on doit l'écouter
Et te trouver quelque chose comme ça parce que du point de vue de la production
De la façon dont elle chante les paroles", c'est juste que
Elle avait ce côté un peu bluegrass que j'adorais en grandissant
Et j'étais dans un groupe de bluegrass

Et puis ce qu'elle raconte, c'est juste une chanson amusante
Je ne sais pas, je pense juste que comme tu l'as dit, beaucoup de filles de mon âge
Et de femmes ont vécu ça, et c'est juste une façon amusante et forte
De le dire pour les femmes, je pense, le coup de fil en état d'ébriété

Eh bien, ouais, comme j'adore cette phrase, euh
"C'est dangereux de verser de l'alcool sur une vieille flamme"
Je me suis dit que c'était intelligent (n'est-ce pas ?)
Quelle bonne phrase
Et euh, j'aime aussi la référence à Trader Joe's, Two-Buck Chuck

En concert, les gens deviennent fous de ça, c'est comme leur phrase préférée
Ouais, c'est comme, qui ne connaît pas ça ?
Tout le monde est passé par là

Mais, tu sais, avant de passer à la chanson
Je me demandais, euh, je sais que tu apprends encore, mais tu es une amatrice de vin
Alors je dois te demander quel est ton type de vin préféré ?
Et as-tu un vin préféré ou un vin de prédilection que tu peux partager avec les gens ?

Oui, absolument
Eh bien, tout d'abord, le seul type pour moi, c'est le rouge
Et j'adore le Cabernet
J'aimais beaucoup le Pinot Noir, mais je pense que plus je vieillis
Plus j'aime le vin sec et corsé
Donc j'en ai deux sur le spectre ici
Donc, mon vin rouge bon marché préféré s'appelle Freakshow
Et il est génial

Mais c'est une étiquette vraiment folle qui ressemble à un cirque, mais c'est génial
Je le trouve chez Publix
Et, euh, mon vin de fête, alias quand Busbee veut m'offrir du vin
Ce qui est, tu sais, quand on a fini l'album
Et Scott Borchetta me l'a offert plusieurs fois
Parce qu'il sait que j'aime ça, euh, c'est du Caymus
C-A-Y-M-U-S, ce n'est certainement pas dans mes prix
Mais, oh mon dieu, c'est génial
