La ville est une étrange dame
Dont le cœur à le goût du drame
Elle est sans feu, elle est sans âme
Elle est comme un gouffre sans fond

Et je restais émerveillé
De ce que j'avais découvert
Cœur battant, les yeux grands ouverts
Avec l'impression de rêver, éveillé
Sans savoir que je pénétrais
Dans le temple des illusions
