Anchor (Hebrews 6:13-20)

The scripture say
11And we desire that every one of you do shew the
Same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
12that ye be not slothful,
But followers of them who through
Faith and patience inherit the promises.
13For when God made promise to Abraham,
Because He could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
14saying, Surely blessing I will bless
Thee, and multiplying I will multiply you.
15And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
16For men verily swear by the greater:
And an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
17Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of
Promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
18that by two immutable things,
In which it was impossible for God to lie,
We might have a strong consolation,
Who have fled for refuge to lay hold
Upon the hope that is set before us:
19which hope we have as an anchor of the soul,
Both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil
Where our High Priest has gone before us
We bless You for hope
Now we can wait upon You

Anker (Hebräer 6:13-20)

Die Schrift sagt
11Und wir wünschen, dass jeder von euch denselben
Fleiß zur vollen Gewissheit der Hoffnung bis ans Ende zeigt:
12damit ihr nicht träge werdet,
sondern Nachfolger derer, die durch
Glauben und Geduld die Verheißungen erben.
13Denn als Gott dem Abraham die Verheißung gab,
da Er bei keinem Größeren schwören konnte, schwor Er bei sich selbst,
14indem Er sprach: Wahrlich, segnend will Ich dich segnen
und mehrend will Ich dich mehren.
15Und so, nachdem er geduldig ausgeharrt hatte, erlangte er die Verheißung.
16Denn Menschen schwören ja bei dem Größeren:
und der Eid zur Bestätigung ist ihnen ein Ende allen Widerspruchs.
17Daher, weil Gott den Erben der
Verheißung die Unwandelbarkeit Seines Ratschlusses überströmender zeigen wollte, hat Er sich mit einem Eid verbürgt:
18damit wir durch zwei unwandelbare Dinge,
in denen es unmöglich war für Gott zu lügen,
einen starken Trost hätten,
die wir Zuflucht gesucht haben, um festzuhalten
an der vor uns liegenden Hoffnung:
19diese Hoffnung haben wir als einen Anker der Seele,
sowohl sicher als auch fest, und der hineingeht in das Innere des Vorhangs,
wohin unser Hohepriester für uns vorausgegangen ist
Wir preisen Dich für die Hoffnung
Nun können wir auf Dich warten
