打ち返す波はめぐりめぐって

小さないたずらは 水平線を越えて
遠く彼方に 届いたしるし

新しい硝子の箱の願い流さず
海の底照らした青き影、光る
スイスイとすすんでいる
潮騒の音はるか
その昔、人だった事も忘れた 深海魚

Messenger from the Palace of the Dragon

A letter arrived from an unknown country
I had forgotten, but I would reply back
Back then, when someone found it
I waited counting on my fingers

“Message was indeed received,.
As you wished, I will make you a fish.”

It was my teacher's idea
It did not matter what I wrote
We put it in a glass little bottle and float it away
A small wish of the fortunate children

Floating in the sea for unknown time
The returning waves went round and round

A small prank had crossed the horizon
And the sign of arrival in the distance

Not floating a new glass box wish
The blue shadow, lighting up the seabed
Swimming little by little
The sound of the tide so far
That ancient human being is now a deep-sea fish
