Ich hab' nen Park vor meiner Tür mit 'nem botanischem Garten,
In den ich manchmal geh, um Abstand zu nehmen und frei durchzuatmen.
Ich geh meistens kurz vor Abend, wenn die Sonne schon golden ist

Ich treff regelmäßig auf Jungs, die mich fragen nach Autogrammen,
Was ich gerne geb, ab und an auch zurückfrag, was man so macht.
Meistens labert man kurz und knapp, gibt sich die Probs und zieht wieder ab,
Aber manchmal hat man auch bock auf'n Talk und nimmt dann kurz Platz.
Ich setzt mich kurz hin zu dem Typ, den ich öfters seh,
Er ist sechzehn, lebt noch zu Haus und geht raus, um Abstand zu nehmen –
Von dem Elternhaus und der Schule, da scheißt er drauf, er, der coole,
Raucht Haschisch Kicks Marke Eigenbau: Wasserflasche und Kuli.
Ich versuch zu sagen: "Lass den Scheiß, Mann du rauchst das Plastik mit,
Mach Kopf aus Metall oder Holz darauf, so ist doch schwachsinnig".
Er sieht mich an und sagt, "Ey, Koseng, meinst du wirklich gesundheitlich interessiert's mich?
Fuck, ich werd nicht mal vierzig!
Es rentiert sich nicht für mich, wenn ich nüchtern bleib,
Denn ich töte Zeit, töte Schmerz, töte Schicksal und Leid, wenn ich übertreib.
Wenn ich Sauf oder Kiff, ist alles ganz leicht für'ne kurze Zeit.

"Na klar ist es hart!", unterbricht er mich. Augen sichtlich gerötet von all dem Gras.
Er steht auf von der Bank und hustet, spuckt gelben Schleim an den Rand,
Denkt kurz nach und sieht mich dann an, voller Aggression, wutentbrannt.
Er sagt, "Mann, ich brauch das Geld wie der Rest der Welt.

Ich schau ihn an und sag, "Mann, was ist los mit dir?

Dass sind die, die den Clowns die Fresse polieren und danach ihr Lobi kassieren.
Das sind die, die am Staat vorbei voll am Start sind, ganz ohne Schulabschluss smart sind, Kohle verdienen ohne Steuern und all so'n Schwachsinn.
Und ich mach's wie die, weil's anders nicht geht in der kack Gesellschaft,
Wo's keiner packt oder selbst schafft, wenn Papa nicht massig Geld hat."
Ich unterbreche ihn und sag: "Das hört sich an wie'ne Entschuldigung,
Die du machst vor dir selbst. Es gibt mehr, Alter, sieh dich um!
Ich kenn viele Jungs, die's geschafft haben, die krass waren und jetzt was reißen, aus eigener Kraft. Mach dein scheiß Ding. Du kannst es nicht schwarz auf weiß sehen!".
Er sagt: "Ich seh's weder schwarz noch weiß, ich seh's grau wie der Horizont meiner Zukunft grad aussieht, wenn ich drauf schau.
Sowieso sagen alle zu mir, ich lande irgendwann noch im Bau und wieso dann noch überhaupt 'nen Kack geben, wen ich beklau, he?"

Doch warum haben deine Tracks oft so'n komischen Dreck als Thema?

Ich sag zu ihm: "Ich kann nur das sein, was ich bin. Ich kann nur das fühlen, was ich fühl, und genau das schreib ich auch hin.
Ich kann sehen, du suchst nach dem Sinn in dem ganzen Schlamassel drin,
Und genau das ist auch der Punkt von den Tracks, die auf meinen Platten sind.
Wir sind zwei Mann in dem gleichen Krieg und der Unterschied liegt nicht im Struggle selbst, sondern darin, wie man mit Struggle dealt.
Und wenn dir nicht die Musik die Kraft gibt, um das zu tun, was du musst, woher nimmst du sie dann in dem ganzen fucking Frust?!"
Er schaut mich an und schaut weg und zieht dann am Blunt.
Dass er nachdenkt, liegt auf der Hand und sein Schicksal in seiner Hand.
Ich sag: "Peace Mann, ich muss jetzt gehen, wenn's was gibt, was ich für dich tun kann: Sprich mich drauf an, du weißt, wo ich bin.

There's a park outside my door with a botanical garden,
Where I sometimes go to get away and breathe freely.
I usually go just before evening, when the sun is already golden
And the park isn't quite as crowded as usual, because night is falling.
I regularly meet guys who ask me for autographs,
Which I gladly give, and occasionally ask back what they're up to.
Mostly we chat briefly, give each other props and move on,
But sometimes we feel like talking and take a seat for a while.
I sit down with this guy I see often,
He's sixteen, still lives at home and goes out to get away –

It's not worth it for me to stay sober,

And I do it like them, because there's no other way in this shitty society,
Where nobody makes it or does it themselves if their dad doesn't have a ton of money."
I interrupt him and say: "That sounds like an excuse,
That you make in front of yourself. There's more, dude, look around!
I know a lot of guys who made it, who were awesome and are now doing something big, on their own. Do your own thing. You can't see it in black and white!".
He says: "I don't see it black or white, I see it grey like the horizon of my future looks right now when I look at it.
Anyway, everyone tells me I'll end up in jail someday, so why even give a damn who I steal from, huh?"
