Ich rahm mir manchmal mein Bild, bevor ich es male

Doch noch ist kein Pinselstrich auf Papier, ich seh es in mir
Doch so vage, dass es zu äußern zu wagen äußerst blockiert

Ich hab reserviert, wo ich hin will, Respekt für was ich verlaß
Ich hab grüne Welle ins Blaue hinein, ich weiß ich bin frei
Doch wenn alles so klar ist:

Ich schreib mir Dinge von der Seele, Dinge von meiner Seele
Musik ist wie Therapie für Gesunde, die sich selbst quälen
Ich weiß alles kann ich selbst wählen, wie schön paradox
Denn je mehr der Freiheit ich hab, desto schwerer wird mir mein Kopf
Wenn man sieht, dass es niemanden gibt, der nur irgendwas für dich macht

Dann hätt ich Halt und ein Wesen, um Schuld auf es abzulegen
Doch bin ich halt zu belesen, mein Wissen lässt es nicht zu
Zu erlauben, den Halt im Glauben zu suchen wär Selbstbetrug
Es ist alles so doppelschneidig und wie man's wendet, es blutet
Versuch ist Unsinn, es gibt nur die Tat, aber die versuch ich
Ich dreh mich im Kreis, mein Geist ist zu schnell für mein eigenes Wohl
Ich wär manchmal gerne kurz hohl, um mich vor mir selbst zu erholen
Ich mach Sport, ich geh in die Stille, ich sauf mich voll, ich geh fressen
Um alles zu kompensieren, was mein Hirn sonst droht zu zerheckseln
Der Meister der alten Kunst der Verdrängung, bitte Verbeugung
Sie stehen vor dem achten Dan der Kampfkünste der Selbstverleugnung
Die Schule basiert auf Täuschung, alles easy wenn's läuft
Und Riesenkollaps des Kartenhaus Schlosses kaum kommt Enttäuschung
Erwartung ist meine Geisel, mein Fluch und zugleich mein Segen

I hear them say "Curse, everything is good"
I hear myself say "everything is good"
But still, sometimes it's all just rage
At myself for lacking courage
To be as I am, instead of being as I can, that's not enough
I set high expectations for myself, knowing I can reach them
But the path to heaven often leads through hell
I see myself dying like heroes in ancient tales

I write things from my soul, things from my soul
Music is like therapy for the healthy, who torture themselves
I know I can choose everything, how beautifully paradoxical
Because the more freedom I have, the heavier my head becomes
When you see that there's no one who does anything for you
It tears down boundaries, but also burdens you with immense weight
There's no one left who's responsible for what happens
And no matter what, even if something bad happens, the responsibility lies with you
I'd like to experience my destiny, placed in foreign hands
Then I would have support and a being to blame

To allow myself to seek support in faith would be self-deception
