Throwing my fist up to the 12-inches I listened to
Fuck dress code, fuck discos with their black suits
Annoying trends, gone in a flash, nowhere to be found now

And then came the early days of the club scene, the doors flung wide open
Contests, gong shows, rapping, and what's more, in Japanese
Maybe the possibilities were endless from then on
The dream actually expanded, ended up jumping on a slow train

At first, it was mostly just "playing pretend", sometimes getting completely beaten up
But I made it through and finally arrived here
Standing shoulder to shoulder with the pioneers I followed, Rock On
For me, it's like filial piety on my 25th anniversary
