Gemüsebeet

Es hat zwar ein paar Jahre gedauert
Doch mittlerweile ist mein Garten ein botanischer Zauber
Draußen auf meiner Terrasse stehen die verschiedensten Kräuter
Und gleich daneben wachsen schon die ersten ribiselsträucher
Ich seh zum Fenster und denk mir was für ne große Kulisse
In meinem Wohnzimmer riecht es nach Zitronenmelisse
Geht es um Obst pflanze ich hauptsächlich heimische Arten
Und trinke jeden Tag nen Smoothie aus dem eigenen Garten
Nichts wird gespritzt nein ich greife zu den alten Methoden
Und messe nur gelegentlich den PH Wert des Bodens
Es hat gebraucht doch langsam kommt jetzt die Erfahrung
Und so genießen meine Erdbeeren die perfekte Sonneneinstrahlung
Diese Erfolge nein sie sind nicht von alleine gekommen
Meine Karotten haben schon so manche Preise gewonnen
Ich hab mein Fachgeschäft verprasse dort den doppelten Lohn

Ich hab gesagt ich hab nen Traum
Irgendwann steht vor meinen Haus ein Apfelbaum
Es war mein Traum
Und heute sind sie alle erstaunt
Denn seine Äste reichen bis über den Gartenzaun
Ja ich hab ein Gemüsebeet
Und bin ein Mann der sein Gemüse pflegt
Von früh bis spät
Wird jedes Jahr im Frühlich gesät
Und die Äpfel schmecken süßer den je

Früher ging ich essen und hab oft nicht gekocht
Heut geh ich raus und schon landen die Kartoffeln im Topf
Warum noch importieren wer braucht schon einen Supermarkt
Scheiß auf die Industrie in mein Essen kommt kein Glutamat
Schau mal da drüben in der Ecke kann man Brokkoli finden
Davor Radieschen ein Stück weiter wachsen Bohnen und Linsen
Denn von Kohlrabi bis Wasabi ist echt alles da
Man findet Zucchini und auch Gurken sowie Paprika und Blattspinat
Manchmal ist es hart und steht mir echt bis zum Hals
Gegen die Wühlmäuse verleg ich ein Geflecht aus Metall
Benütze echt schon Gewalt
Denn ich kämpf überall
Mit einem Päckchen voll Salz
Gegen den Schneckenbefall
Ich sag dir jeden Tag aufs Neue wird das Unkraut vernichtet
Ich hab ein Platzproblem und auf teuren Pool längst verzichtet
Und wenn es vorkommt dass einer meiner Freunde was klaut
Schmeiß ich ihn raus
Denn bei den Tomaten hört die Freundschaft auf

Dillkraut und Oregano
Thymian und Rosmarin
Würzen jedes Fleisch was dem natürlichen Aroma dient
Auch Koriander gehört zu Dingen
Und ist seit jeher fast in jeder Art von Curry zu finden
Und ja ich lieb Mozzarella
Kommt er bei mir auf den Teller
Liegen auf den Tomaten stets frische Basilikumblätter
Hier wird Püree noch selbst gestampft
Dazu gekochte Erbsen
Und als Nachtisch gibt es heute Artischockenherzen
Mein Nachbar hat mir einen Topf mit Pfefferminze geschenkt
So wird das Leitungswasser schnell mal zum Erfrischungsgetränk
Ich hab auch Salbei und Ingwer doch
Schnall den Gürtel jetzt eng
Bereite mich vor denn nächstes Jahr will ich zur Kürbis WM
Sogar an freien Tagen hab ich nur die Arbeit im Kopf
Doch zur Belohnung gibt es dann ein Glas Rhabarberkompott
Und warte mal stopp was heißt da ich hab mich nicht getraut
Zwischen den ganzen Gemüse fällt das bisschen Hanf gar nicht auf

Vegetable Patch

It may have taken a few years,
But now my garden is a botanical wonder.
Out on my terrace, a variety of herbs are flourishing,
