Ich hab′ wie ein Penner gelebt

Doch wusst, ich werd′ es schaffen meiner Frau etwas zu bieten
War bei tausenden Sponsoren, doch keiner hat an mich geglaubt
Kratz′ das letzte Geld zusammen, geh' ins Studio und nehm′ auf
So nimmt das Leben seinen Lauf, der WoW-Song, er kommt raus
Und sieben Alben später sitz' ich hier in meinem Haus
Wir gehen Jährlich auf Tournee und die Fans, sie rasten aus
Du siehst, alles kann gehen, wenn man nur fest genug daran glaubt

Das hier ist mehr als bloß Hip-Hop, das hier ist meine Geschichte
Alles, was du hörst, war mal ′ne einfache Skizze
Du weißt, es kommt vom Herzen und ich pack' es auf den Beat
Für die Sache, die ich lieb′, schlägt es zum Takt meiner Musik
Und das solange, bis es jeder hier kapiert
Ich mach' es nur für mich, nein, ich muss kei'm was beweisen

Sie dachten, ich wäre nach sechs Alben müde geworden
Dann stehen sie beim Konzert und sehen diese Bühnenperformance
Wissen nicht weiter, fangen an ihre Gefühle zu ordnen
Doch kommen einfach nicht drum rum diesen Typ zu supporten
Ich bin bloß einer von abertausenden Rappern da draußen
Doch die Geschäfte, sie laufen besser als etliche glauben
Und keiner kann sich erklären, woher er all den Erfolg hat

I lived like a bum

When I started, I had only empty pockets
The beginning was hard, I saved for a long time
