A tak jsem vděčnej za tu šanci
že přijde po životě ráj
Kde ti suchou deku daj.
A snad tam budou pěkný stromy
A čistý záchody - to mám rád.

A když nic není, tak co to změní?
Já se obávám že nic.
Všechno má svůj rub i líc.
Ale tu šanci, tu si prostě nedám vzít.

Pěkná šlupka, stříbrný čtverečky.
V hlavě mi zvoněj malinkatý zvonečky.
Uprostřed šrotu mám zutou botu
A rozjímám o životu.
(Ale dyť já vim, že o životě!)

Je to dobrý, ještě dejchám
života se neostejchám.
Noc se chýlí zvolna k ránu.
Jestlipak se vodsaď ještě dostanu?

A tak jsem vděčnej za tu šanci

Kde je anděl? A nebo saniťák?
Nebo hasič? Ať je to tak nebo tak
Hasič, anděl, saniťák nebo čert
Hlavně, že to neni třeba finančák.

A tak tu vadnu, už je mi zima
A maličkosti už mě nezajímaj.
Smrdí tu benzín, ale nezoufám
Neboť dokud dejchám pořád doufám.

Chance

And so I'm grateful for the chance
that there will be heaven after life
where they'll give you a dry blanket.
And perhaps there will be beautiful trees
and clean toilets - I love that.

And if nothing is, what will it change?
I fear that nothing.
Everything has its pros and cons.
But that chance, I just won't let go of it.

Pretty wrapper, silver squares.
Tiny bells ring in my head.
Amidst the scrap metal, I have a worn-out shoe
and I ponder life.
(But I know about life!)

It's good, I'm still breathing
I'm not afraid of life.
The night is slowly turning into morning.
Will I ever get out of here?

And so I'm grateful for the chance
that there will be heaven after life
where they'll give you a dry blanket.

Firefighter, angel, paramedic or devil
As long as it's not the taxman.

And so I'm wasting away, I'm already cold
and trifles no longer interest me.
It stinks of gasoline, but I don't despair
Because as long as I breathe, I still have hope.
And so I'm grateful for the chance
