تو خوش بدان به زودی ، این نسل های عاشق
با فکرهای تازه ، چون لشکر شقایق
از شانه های تاریخ، این یأس را بریزند
با دستهای آزاد ، با کهنگی ستیزند
این ریشه های پُرجان، در عمق تشنه ی خاک
این خانه را بسازم اندیشمند و دلپاک
این دستهای خونین، این سایه های تهدید
دیگر حراس ما نیست در فتح صبح امید
نگاه ما به فرداست، شما گذشته هایید
با ما سرود میلاد، با مرگ همصدایید
آه ای قشون ظلمت ، ای قوم مانده تنها

Oh, army of terror, oh, black-clad ones,
Thought cannot be killed, by execution or prison.
Though all these bodies, are trapped in dungeons,
Though poetry is forbidden, though love is on the gallows,
Be assured, my dear, that soon, these generations of lovers,
With fresh ideas, like armies of poppies,
Will cast this despair, from history's shoulders.
With liberated hands, they will fight against obsolescence.
These vibrant roots, in the depths of thirsty soil,
This home I will build, of intellect and purity.
These bloodied hands, these ominous shadows,
No longer frighten us in our quest for the dawn of hope.
Our gaze is set on tomorrow, you are the remnants of the past.
With us is the anthem of birth, with you, the harmony of death.
Oh, army of darkness, oh, tribe left alone,
Thought cannot be killed, this is our belief.
