You never ended up put on a record?", and

This kind of, uhm, answers that question
Because this is, this song was originally
Uh, something that was written for, uhm
I wanna say Break the Spell

I mean, uh, I'm sorry, uh
This song was actually written for Leave this Town
And I had worked with, uh, Marti Frederiksen
And we'd written this song
And there was something about it that we've loved

And it just never, for whatever reason
Just never, uh, really connected with my camp
Or, or even myself, for that matter
It just didn't- felt like something was missing

So, two years later, uh, working on Break the Spell
I work with Marti again and we bring that song up
And we just take the verse from it
And completely rewrite the rest of the song

And all of a sudden
Howard Benson's ears perked up
And he was pretty happy, and we turned it
We basically revived a song
That would've been dead otherwise

Parce que c'est, cette chanson était à l'origine
Euh, quelque chose qui a été écrit pour, euhm
Je veux dire Break the Spell

Je veux dire, euh, excuse-moi, euh
Cette chanson a en fait été écrite pour Leave this Town
Et j'avais travaillé avec, euh, Marti Frederiksen
Et nous avions écrit cette chanson
Et il y avait quelque chose à ce sujet que nous aimions

Et ça n'a jamais, pour une raison quelconque
Jamais vraiment, euh, connecté avec mon camp
Ou, ou même moi-même, d'ailleurs
Ça ne me faisait pas sentir que quelque chose manquait

Donc, deux ans plus tard, euh, en travaillant sur Break the Spell
Je travaille à nouveau avec Marti et nous ressortons cette chanson
Et nous prenons juste le couplet de celle-ci
Et nous réécrivons complètement le reste de la chanson

Et tout d'un coup
Les oreilles d'Howard Benson se sont dressées
Et il était assez content, et nous l'avons transformé
Nous avons fondamentalement ressuscité une chanson
Qui aurait été morte autrement
