Today we are gonna get up on that stage.
And we're going to do improvisation.

Everyday for a week we would try to be a table.
Be a sportscar, ice cream cone.
The teacher. He would say. Very good, except.
Diana. Try, Diana. All alone.
So I dug right down to the bottom of my soul.
To see how my ice cream felt.

And I tried. To act.

So the kids in the class said.

And I said nothing.

It's all my teacher had.

Then I came to Hollywood.

I went to a lot of parties, premiers, supermarket openings.
And I met a lot of very important people.
And I soon learned, to be a movie star.
I wasn't...
They told me I wasn't fully developed.
So I took a look at the competition, you know.
I knew the day was by.

It was then I decided.
To call the doctor.
For my appointment to buy, what?

When I realized it was wonderful to be young and black.
But to be gifted and to know what you wanted to do.

Je me suis donc inscrite à un cours de théâtre sérieux.
Avec beaucoup d'autres acteurs sérieux.
Et j'avais un professeur qui était, très sérieux.

Et on va faire de l'improvisation.

Tous les jours pendant une semaine, on essayait d'être une table.
Être une voiture de sport, un cornet de glace.

Alors j'ai cherché au plus profond de mon âme.

Et j'ai vite appris que pour être une star de cinéma.

Alors j'ai regardé la compétition, tu sais.
Je savais que le jour était arrivé.

C'est alors que j'ai décidé.

J'ai eu une institutrice incroyable à l'école primaire.
Qui m'a dit ce qu'elle pensait que le Grand C signifiait. "To cheat" : tricher.
Pour ceux qui ne font que la moitié.
