Beautiful Dreamer Serenade

1Beautiful dreamer, wake unto me,
2Starlight and dewdrops are waiting for thee;
3Sounds of the rude world heard in the day,
4Lull'd by the moonlight have all pass'd a way!

5Beautiful dreamer, queen of my song,
6List while I woo thee with soft melody;
7Gone are the cares of life's busy throng, --
8Beautiful dreamer, awake unto me!
9Beautiful dreamer awake unto me!

10Beautiful dreamer, out on the sea
11Mermaids are chaunting the wild lorelie;
12Over the streamlet vapors are borne,
13Waiting to fade at the bright coming morn.

14Beautiful dreamer, beam on my heart,
15E'en as the morn on the streamlet and sea;
16Then will all clouds of sorrow depart, --
17Beautiful dreamer, awake unto me!
18Beautiful dreamer, awake unto me!

Belle rêveuse Sérénade

1Belle rêveuse, réveille-toi pour moi,
2Le clair de lune et la rosée t'attendent;
3Les bruits du monde rude entendus dans la journée,
4Bercés par la lumière de la lune, ont tous disparu !

5Belle rêveuse, reine de mon chant,
6Écoute tandis que je te courtise avec une douce mélodie;
7Les soucis de la foule affairée de la vie sont partis, --
8Belle rêveuse, réveille-toi pour moi !
9Belle rêveuse, réveille-toi pour moi !

10Belle rêveuse, là-bas sur la mer
11Les sirènes chantent la sauvage Lorelei ;
12Au-dessus du ruisseau, des vapeurs sont portées,
13Attendant de s'estomper à l'arrivée du matin brillant.

14Belle rêveuse, éclaire mon cœur,
15Comme le matin sur le ruisseau et la mer ;
16Alors tous les nuages de chagrin s'en iront, --
