O siyah gözleri daima yerde
Gökten daha çok yere bakar

Bakışları düşünceli
Boynu gümüş beyazlığında
Fildişinden yapılmış bir suret gibi
Ashabının ardından yürür
Ve "benim arkamı meleklere bırakın." der

Bir şeye hayret ettiğinde elini çevirir

Milyarlarca bülbül
Sevinç bayrak açmış her sinede
Çünkü o gül, hâlâ Medine'de

A Rose

A rose in Mecca, the Sacred
Her face, like the full moon, bright
Skin white, with a hint of pink so slight
Hair with gentle waves in sight
Fair, with brows like crescents of light
Between her brows, a vein takes flight
Swelling when she's filled with might

A rose in Mecca, the blessed land
Her hair cascading down, so grand
Beard thick, eyes like black grapes, close at hand
Those dark eyes, forever on the sand
Gazing more at earth, than skies so spanned

Her gaze, contemplative and deep
Neck of silver, secrets to keep
Like a figure carved from ivory's sleep
He walks behind his companions, steep
And says, "Leave my back to angels to reap."

When amazed, he turns his hand with grace
Speaking, he joins his hands in place
Angered, he turns away his face
Joyful, his eyes gently embrace
His laughter, a smile, a tender trace
When he smiles, his teeth like pearls encase

A rose in Mecca, a sight to behold
On his face, majesty and power unfold
In his words, sweetness takes its hold
Speaking clearly, a story told
Voice strong, his sweat like fragrant gold
Leaving scent of roses, as stories are scrolled

His attire simple, a humble guise
Often an Ihram, his chosen prize
Yellow and white, colors he most applies
His food cooked over fire, that flies
Ground oats mixed with flour, to the skies
Some olive oil, pepper, and spice that lies
At the table, with thanks and praise he complies
A rose, his second home, Medina lies

A rose in Medina, the enlightened one
Most honorable of all, beneath the sun
Center of truths, where faith has begun
A tour of Ihsan, where deeds are spun
Descent of Rahman's secrets, outrun

Sky of the Divine Land, above all seen
Greatest jewel in the Prophets' scene
Leader of the caravan, serene
Highest of all beings, pristine
Bearer of the banner, keen
Witness to secrets, evergreen
Source of knowledge, patience, wisdom's sheen

Apple of the eye, for earth and sky
Soul of both worlds, that never die
Eye of life, in the hereafter, high

A rose in Medina, with light so fair
Luminous tree of origin, so rare
Highest of men, beyond compare
Most perfect form, a beauty to share

Possessor of true wealth, and grace divine
Dazzling beauty, a radiant sign
And holder of rank, so sublime
Healer of hearts, a love that's mine
Health and cure for bodies, entwined
Light and brightness, in eyes we find

Loved for centuries, and loved anew
Loved with fresh feelings, ever true
Worthy of the highest stations, few
Greatest friend, beloved, just and due
Grandson of Abdulmuttalib, the clue
Our master, son of Abdullah, it's true
Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon you

A rose in Medina, love's gentle sway
Despite all, hearts to him obey
Billions of nightingales sing and play
Joyful flags wave, come what may
For that rose still blooms in Medina today
