Ve ayak sesleri

Semâdan inenler var

İzin verseydi Allah
Kâinat inerdi yere
Çünkü kâbe'nin hatîm kısmında yatan
Sultân-ı levlâk'tır

Âlemler inerdi yere
Ama emir yalnız cebrail'e
Ve yalnız cebrail iner yere

Kalk ya rasulallah
Semada melekler seni bekler
Taif'te taşlanan yüzüne hasret
Alaya alınan sözüne hasret
Seni bekler melekler

Yer yüzünde vefa yok mu?
Seni teselli edecek birini mi arıyor kalbin?
Sevdiklerin bir-bir uçuyor mu elinden?
Üzülme ve aç gözlerini
Öteler bekliyor seni

Bu gece kainat adını anacak
Burak, senin için uçacak
Aç gözlerini ya habiballah
Bu gecenin adına isra diyecek Allah

Ey yedi kat sema aç kapılarını
Ve haber ver hasretle bekleyen peygamberlere
De ki hazreti Adem'e
Salih oğul geliyor

Söyle İsa'ya
Kuytu köşelerde
Havarilerinle Allah'a sığınırken
Bir adım ötedeymiş gibi kokusunu aldığın
Ve insanlığa gelişini müjdelediğin
Ahmet geliyor

Yusuf'a, İdris'e, Harun'a söyle
Musa'ya deki
Vasıflarına hayran olup da
Ümmetinden olmak istediğin
Salih kardeş geliyor

Müjde ver İbrahim Peygamber'e
Dua dua yalvarıp
Gelmesini istediğin oğul geliyor
Aç kapılarını ey yedi kat sema
Bu gelen Muhammed Mustafa

Cebrail yol gösterir
Ve yürür sultanlar sultanı
Bu nasıl bir yürüyüştür?
Bu nasıl bir eda?
İnci inci ter mübarek alınlarında
Baştan ayağa edep var
Attığı her adımda

Sultanım
Cennetler gösterilirken o gece
Ümmetini hayal ettin mi cennette?
Cehennemin alevleri selamlarken seni
Gözyaşlarını gördü mü Cebrail?
Ümmetim dedin mi?
Sen unutmazsın bizi bunda kuşku yok
Allah seni unutturmasın bize

Yürüdü rasulullah
Cebrail önde
Bir gece yürüyüşüyle
Yürüdüler, yükseldiler
Yükseldikçe yükseldiler
Cebrail durdu birden

"Ya rasulallah, benimle buraya kadar"
Efendimiz "niçin?" diye sordu
"Burası sidre-i münteha'dır"
"Bir adım daha atarsam, yanarım, kavrulurum"
Allah rasulu, sordular
"Nasıl gidilir sidre-i münteha'da?"
Cibril-i emin cevap verdi
"Aşkla!"

Aşkla gidilir ya rasulallah
Yürü sultanım yol senindir!
Aşk vadisinde mühür senin
Söz senindir, hal senindir

Muhabbetin adı sensin
Varlıkların tadı sensin
Yürü ve selamını ilet
Gözü yaşlı ümmetinin
Sensiz bunca yetimin
İlet selamını
Ahir zamanın ahını
Yüceler yücesine ilet

Sultanım
Sen dönerken miraçtan
İlahi hediyelerle
Bizim için miraç olan
Beş vakit namazla
Bakara suresinin son iki ayetiyle
Ve şirke düşmeyenin affedilebileceği müjdesiyle

Dönerken sen miraçtan
Biz ahir zamandan
Ebu Bekir edasıyla sesleniyoruz çağlara
"O söylediyse doğrudur" (O söylediyse doğrudur)
"Rasulullah söylediyse doğrudur" (Rasulullah söylediyse doğrudur)

Ve bir ayetin sıcaklığı sarıyor
Kainatin kalbini
Her türlü noksanlıktan münezzeh olan Allah
Kulunu geceleyin mescid-i haram'dan alıp
Kendisine bir takım ayetler gösterelim diye
Etrafını mübarek kıldığımız
Mescid-i aksa'ya götürdü
Çünkü, işiten ve bilen odur

The Ascension

Close your eyes, my love,
And gaze into the darkness deep.
Just like this night, so still,
In Mecca, where secrets sleep.
Weariness hangs in the air,
Strangeness flows in the water's embrace.
A silence, black as night,
Even sleep itself finds no resting place.

By the Kaaba's Hatim's side,
One lies upon the ground, his heart in pain.
A year of sorrow, it has been,
Abu Talib is no more, his loss I sustain.
A year of sorrow, it has been,
My faithful wife,
Khadija, the great, is gone, leaving me unseen.

By the Kaaba's Hatim's side,
One lies upon the ground, his soul bereaved.
A heart that seeks solace,
A heart with sorrow grieved.
It is His heart, my dear,

And footsteps draw near,
Stars shimmer and gleam so bright.
These footsteps descend from the heavens above,
The stars make way for their celestial flight.
There are those descending from the sky,

If Allah allowed it to be,
The universe would descend upon this land.
For he who lies by the Kaaba's Hatim's side,
Is the Sultan of the Lavender Band.

If Allah allowed it to be,
All realms would descend to the ground we tread.
But the command is for Gabriel alone,
And only he descends, his wings outspread.

Arise, oh Rasulullah,
In the heavens, angels await your embrace.
They long for your face, stoned in Taif,
They yearn for your words, mocked in that place.
The angels await you, their hearts ablaze.

Is there no loyalty on this earthly plane?
Does your heart seek one to console its pain?
Do your loved ones slip away, one by one?
Grieve not, and open your eyes, my dear one.
The realms beyond are waiting for you,

Tonight, the universe will speak your name,
Buraq will fly for you, with wings aflame.
Open your eyes, oh beloved of Allah,
This night shall be called Isra, by His law.

Oh seven heavens, open your gates wide,
And inform the prophets who have patiently abided.
Tell Adam, the first,
His righteous son is coming, his thirst.

Tell Jesus, the pure,
In hidden corners, where you seek reprieve,
As you and your disciples find refuge in Allah's grace,
As if a step away, you sensed His trace,
And announced his coming to the human race,
Ahmad is coming, with light and grace.

Tell Joseph, Idris, and Aaron too,
To Moses, say,
The one whose qualities you admired so,
Whose Ummah you longed to join below,
Your righteous brother is coming, aglow.

Give the glad tidings to Abraham, the seer,
The son he pleaded for, with prayers so clear,
Is coming now, his arrival is near.
Open your gates, oh seven heavens, lend your ear,
This is Muhammad Mustafa, drawing near.

Gabriel leads the way,
And the Sultan of Sultans walks with might.
What manner of walk is this, so bright?
What grace and elegance fill the night?
Pearls of sweat upon his blessed brow,
From head to toe, humility does bow,
In every step he takes, somehow.

My Sultan,
As heavens unveiled their wonders that night,
Did you envision your Ummah in paradise's light?
As hell's flames saluted you, burning bright,
Did Gabriel witness your tears take flight?
Did you whisper, "My Ummah," with all your might?
You wouldn't forget us, of this we're sure,
May Allah never let us forget you, pure.

Rasulullah walked on,
With Gabriel leading the way.
In a single night's journey, they did stray,
They walked and ascended, come what may,
Higher and higher, they soared away,
Until Gabriel suddenly stopped, they say.

"Oh Rasulullah, I can accompany you no more,"
Our Master asked, "Why, what lies in store?"
"This is Sidrat al-Muntaha, the farthest shore,"
"One step further, and I'd be scorched and sore."
Allah's Messenger inquired, his heart aflame,
"How does one traverse Sidrat al-Muntaha's domain?"
Jibril, the trustworthy, answered plain,
"With love, my dear, with love, it's attained."

With love, one travels, oh Rasulullah,
Walk on, my Sultan, the path is yours to claim!
In the valley of love, your seal remains,
The words are yours, the state, it proclaims.

Love's very essence, it is you,
The taste of existence, it shines through.
Walk on and convey your greetings true,
To your Ummah, with eyes of tearful hue,
So many orphans, without you,
Convey your greetings, tender and new,
The sighs of the end times, let them accrue,
To the Highest of Highs, let them ensue.

My Sultan,
As you returned from the Ascension's height,
With divine gifts, shining bright,
With five daily prayers, our guiding light,
An ascension for us, day and night,
With the last two verses of Surah al-Baqarah's might,
And the promise of forgiveness for those who shun shirk's blight.

As you returned from the Ascension's call,
We, from the end of times, stand tall,
With Abu Bakr's spirit, we echo through the ages' sprawl,
"If he has said it, it is true, beyond recall," (If he has said it, it is true, beyond recall,)
"If Rasulullah has said it, it is true, standing tall." (If Rasulullah has said it, it is true, standing tall.)

And the warmth of a verse embraces,
The heart of the universe, in all its spaces.
Allah, free from all imperfections,
Took His servant by night from the Sacred Mosque's stations,
To the farthest mosque, whose surroundings He blesses,
To show him signs of His creations,
For He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing, who possesses,
All wisdom and power, in all situations.
