Они взглянули вверх и увидели звезду,
Сияющую на востоке, далеко за ними:
И земле она давала великий свет,
И так продолжалось и день, и ночь.

И по свету той самой звезды
Три мудреца пришли из далекой страны;
Искать Царя было их намерением,
И следовать за звездой, куда бы она ни шла.

Эта звезда приблизилась к северо-западу;
