Ich bin ein waschechter Künstler, ich bring' mein Gefühle zum Ausdruck
Aber nur, wenn man mir Alkohol in Bauch pumpt

Ich erinner' mich an nichts, wenn der Flaschengeist verschwindet
Alles wird grau, wenn die Nüchternheit erreicht ist
Erbrochenes klebt an meiner künstlerischen Seite

Zu viel Klarheit ist nicht gut für die Kunst

Bis pures Ethanol durch deine Blutadern pumpt
Echte Wahrheit entsteht nur, wenn die Vernunft mal verstummt
Sie sagen ich hab' ein ernstes Problem, aber was soll's?
Ist das Glas halbleer, dann trink' ich's halb voll
Ich kann mich zwar nicht erinnern an die Wörter, die ich schrieb
Doch ich kann sie lesen und deswegen hörst du dieses Lied
Trink und trink bis dein Spiegelbild verschwimmt
Denn nur so wird alles bunt

Jede Träne wird zum Tropfen, jeder Tropfen wird zur Kunst
Ein leeres Blatt Papier ist meine schlimmste Form der Angst
Um es voll zu kriegen muss ich voll sein bis zum Rand
Ich gegen die weiße Leinwand, ein hoffnungsloser Kampf
Zieh' in den Krieg mit Pinsel und Vodka in der Hand
Aus Ehrlichkeit entsteht echte Kreativität
Dafür muss man die Maske ablegen, die man alltäglich trägt
Ich leb' für die Kunst, ich opfere alles, für mein eigenes, kleines Atlantis
Am Boden dieser Flasche - Halt' die Luft an und tauch' hinab
Heute bin ich aufgewacht mit 'nem Bauch voll Schnaps
Kotzte Gallenflüssigkeit in das Waschbecken meines Bads
Aber dafür stand auf meinem Rechner wieder mal ein neuer Part

Ich war nicht betrunken, als ich das hier schrieb
Ich will nicht mehr, ich muss kotzen, wenn ich Champagner riech'
Kann das Zeug nicht mehr anfassen, als hätt' ich 'ne Allergie
Aber sie erwarten jede Woche ein neues Lied
Also hab' ich eben so getan, als ob ich mich betrink'
Damit das Lied wenigstens tiefsinnig und ehrlich klingt
Dann bin ich halt kein echter Künstler, mein Gott, da scheiß' ich drauf

They say I have a serious problem, but so what?

A blank sheet of paper is my worst form of fear
To fill it up, I must be full to the brim, my dear
Me against the white canvas, a hopeless fight it seems
Marching into war with a brush and vodka, fulfilling my dreams
