Ok nær dýrum deyja.
Gnyðja mundu grísir,
Ef galtar hag vissi,
Mér er gnótt at grandi,
Grafa inn rönum sínum
Ok harðliga hváta,
Hafa mik sogit, ormar;

...now no longer will I grow weary
And almost die with the animals.
The pigs would have squealed,
If they knew the boar's intentions,
I am annoyed by the snake,
It dug under my shield
And bit me hard,
The serpents troubled me;
Now no longer will I grow weary
