ቀልጦ እንደሚበራ ሻማ
መብራት በሌለዉ ከተማ

ለሱስ ባለዳዉ ነኝ
ህይወት እንዳይሰለቸኝ
ሲጨነቅ ሲጠበብ
አይተኛም ቀን ከሌት
ለደስታየ ሲዋትት

እንቅልፍ አትተኛም ወይ

ለትንሽ ደስታም አመስጋኝ
እንዲህ ያለሰዉ የሰዉ ምርጥ
በግዜ የማይለወጥ

ቃል ካንደበቱ እንደዉሃ
ይፈሳል እንደ ጅረት
ልብን የሚመረምር
ጠልቆ የሚገባ ካንጀት
ሰምና ወርቁን ተናገር
ቅኔ ደርድር
በፃዲቅ ሰዉ ቃላት
ነብሴ ገባች ከገነት
ጣዕሙን ዜማ ስታዜም
ቃልን ከህይወት ስትቀምም
ስጋየን ለየህ ከነብሴ
አቆራረጥከኝ ከስትንፋሴ

ካህኔ የነብሴ አገልጋይ
እንቅልፍ አትተኛም ወይ
