There was a big cat that purred
Very curled up in his corner
He closed his eyes, pretended to be asleep
He wagged his tail with a bored air

There was a tiny little mouse
Who peeked out of a hole
He disappeared, he reappeared
And he jumped before leaving

He came out of his hiding place, he ran like a whirlwind
And he was afraid even of his shadow
But when he turned around he heard a loud noise
He saw two big eyes and a tremendous cat

And with his paws he ran so fast
That he returned to his hole very quickly
And so ends the story, I assure you
