Silent ship

If the time has come to weigh anchor
A ship bound for the unknown departs from this harbor

Silently, as if it had no passengers, it takes its course
Neither a handkerchief nor a hand waves in that departure

Those who remain on the pier are saddened by this journey
For days they gaze at the black horizon, their eyes moist

Poor hearts, this is not the last ship to depart
This is one of life's many final mournings

I have left behind at the harbor everything of this world
The world's share will one day end, what do I need it for?
Everyone here is the same, how many times should I say it?
My patience is exhausted, my mind is tired, what good is it to say anything

I am leaving, my hands are cold, my heart is frozen
How much the heavens have turned, my heart trembling

I am leaving, I have only packed my loneliness in my bag
I thought I'd go for a bit and then throw myself into the sea
And suddenly I realized that my loneliness is my literature

Give me a dream, let me sleep, maybe it will last forever
Those whom we loved eternally, come and be our guests
You see, I know the deep waters will understand this
If I tell my pain to the sea, it will become a poet tomorrow
