My wandering soul
My forsaken land
You roamed, you wandered
And landed on my dormant self
You asked the dawn about the flower
And turned the pages where the past resided
My exalted soul
And my gracious providence
We wrote, we complained
And we drew the steps that led us
You sailed the seas, you discovered rivers
You unveiled the secrets where our lives lay
My barefoot soul
And my surging winds
We remembered, we forgot
The radiant days passed
The birds grew silent, and the lights vanished
The pitch-black thoughts sat
The rain carves, and the clouds dissipate
And in the valley, my bewilderment remains
