I take notes, jottings, day and night,
Fragments that tell me details of life,
Feelings, phrases that I have used,
Writing stories that may have happened
And I keep inside a moment or sensation
That later serves me to make a song
I hear thoughts that move in my mind
They are like the rain that hits powerfully,
I am always looking for life and emotion
Music and words that will open the heart
I take notes, jottings, I do it because I want to,
Every time I write I try to be sincere
I will always be here
