Como polos opuestos que separa una brecha

La derecha es ferozmente autoritaria
Fascismo, Nazismo, Stalinismo
La izquierda es mucho más humanitaria
De la social democracia al anarquismo.

La derecha es el símbolo de toda dictadura
Siempre que no sea la del proletariado
Porque entonces la izquierda la da por bendecida
Ese punto es por demás entreverado.

La derecha es católica, la izquierda cristiana
La izquierda es el antes, la izquierda el después
A la derecha hay rejas velando la injusticia
Y aunque duela decirlo, a la izquierda también.

La izquierda es compañera, solidaria y sensible
Y la derecha entiende muy ben la caridad
La derecha avasalla, la izquierda es precavida
Y el balón del poder va de aquí para allá.

Muchos que cantan fuerte los versos de la izquierda
Están a la derecha en la vida real
Otros que se la pasan ayudando al de al lado
Por ser del otro lado, los han de condenar.

Con el paso del tiempo lo que ayer era izquierda
Poco a poco se ha ido corriendo de lugar
Y los que antes estaban al borde del abismo
Hoy, más equilibrados, se corren hacia acá.

Ahora capitalismo no es más mala palabra
La doctrina marxista se ha vuelto un tanto light
No hay que socializar medios de producción
Atraer capitales es la consigna actual.

El ser humano se conoce por sus actos
Y no por el lugar que parece ocupar
No alcanza con discursos vanguardistas
Lo revolucionario es la sinceridad

Y antes de culminar este cuplé atrevido
Y sin tomar partido por una posición
Recordemos que ustedes

Left and right

From the deepest of the cosmos
Like opposing poles with a long chasm
The land of existence has been divided
In two, left and right, in eternal spite.

In real life are on the right

Now, more balanced, moved here.

Now capitalism is no longer a dirty word
The Marxist doctrine has softened
There's no need to socialize means of production
Attracting capital is the current slogan.

The human is known by their actions
And not by the place that they seem to occupy
Vanguardist discourses are not enough
What's revolutionary is honesty.

And without picking sides
