Un carosse embourbé
Les att'lages cassés
Essayait de monter le fossé
Les chevaux ne voulaient plus tirer

Le roi qui était dedans

En sautant la clôture
Il tomba dans les mûres
Et salit son pourpoint de satin
Un vilain chien sans nom
Lui mordit le talon
La nature, gênée, refusa de chanter...

A coach embedded

There remains a man in a tattered coat
His coat is tattered
But his heart is light
He goes into the meadows, alone on foot
His kingdom now
It's a tiny thatched roof
And the earth is lighter for him...
