Let me tell you something, do you like monster movies?
Anybody?

I love monster movies, I simply adore monster movies,
And the cheaper they are, the better they are.
And cheepnis in the case of a monster movie
Has nothing to do with the budget of the film, al
H it helps. but true cheepnis is exemplified by visible nylon strings
Attached to the jaw of a giant spider. I'll tell you,
A good one that I saw one time, I think the name of the film was "
Onquered the world" (yeah!) and the... did you ever see that one?
The monster looks sort of like an inverted ice-cream corn
With teeth around the bottom. it looks like a, like a teepee or a
Of a rounded off pup-tent affair. and ah,
It's got fangs on the base of it,
I don't know why but it's a very threatening sight.
And then he's got a frown and, you know, ugly mouth and everythin
D there's this one scene where the ah monster is coming out of a cave.
See? there's always a scene where they come out of a cave,
At least once. and the rest of the cast... it musta been made aro
He 1950's. the lapels are about like th
At wide, the ties are about that wide and about this short,
And they always have a little revolver that they're gonna shoot
The monster with.
And there is always a girl who falls down and twists
Ankle. hey hey! of course there is! you know how they are,
The weaker sex and everything,
Twisting their ankle on behalf of a little ice-cream corn.
Well in this particular scene, in this scene, they ah,
They didn't wanna re-take it 'cause it musta been so good they wanted
To keep it, but they...
When the monster came out of the cave,
Just over on the left hand side of the screen you
Ee about this much two-by-four attached to the bottom of the thing as
The guy is pushing it out,
And then obviously off-camera somebody's
Goin': "no! get it back!" ...and they drag it
Just a little bit as the guy is
Goin': "kch! kch!" now that's cheepnis.
Right. and this is cheepnis here: one two three four...
I ate a hot dog

And the canvas of the cave is too soft
The suits & the hats & the tie's too wide
And too short for the scientist man
The chemistry lady with the roll-away mind
And the monster just ate japan

The monster,
Which the peasants in this area call frunobulax
(Apparently a very large poodle dog)
Has just been seen approaching the power plant
Bullets can't stop it

Laisse-moi te dire un truc, tu aimes les films de monstres ?

J'adore les films de monstres, j'adore tout simplement les films de monstres,
Et plus ils sont cheap, mieux c'est.
Et le côté cheap dans un film de monstres
N'a rien à voir avec le budget du film, bien que
Ça aide. Mais le vrai côté cheap, c’est quand on voit les ficelles en nylon
Attachées à la mâchoire d'une araignée géante. Je vais te dire,
Il y en a un bon que j'ai vu une fois, je crois que le film s'appelait "
Onquered the world" (ouais !) et le... tu l'as déjà vu celui-là ?
Le monstre ressemble à une sorte de cornet de glace à l'envers
Avec des dents autour du bas. Ça ressemble à un, à un tipi ou à une sorte de
Tente de camping arrondie. Et euh,
Il a des crocs à la base,
Je ne sais pas pourquoi, mais c'est une vision très menaçante.
Et puis il fronce les sourcils et, tu sais, il a une bouche horrible et tout le tralala
Et il y a cette scène où le monstre sort d'une grotte.
Tu vois ? Il y a toujours une scène où ils sortent d'une grotte,
Au moins une fois. Et le reste du casting... ça devait être fait vers
Les années 1950. Les revers de veste font à peu près cette largeur,
Les cravates font à peu près cette largeur et cette longueur,
Et ils ont toujours un petit revolver avec lequel ils vont tirer
Sur le monstre.
Et il y a toujours une fille qui tombe et se tord
La cheville. Eh eh ! Bien sûr qu'il y en a une ! Tu sais comment elles sont,
Le sexe faible et tout le reste,
Se tordre la cheville à cause d'un petit cornet de glace.
Eh bien, dans cette scène en particulier, dans cette scène, ils euh,

Quand le monstre est sorti de la grotte,
Juste sur le côté gauche de l'écran, on peut voir

Et puis, évidemment, quelqu'un hors champ
Dit : "Non ! Ramenez-le !" ... et ils le tirent
Juste un petit peu pendant que le gars
Fait : "Grrr ! Grrr !" Ça, c'est du cheap.
Voilà. Et ça, c'est du cheap ici : un deux trois quatre...

La petite Miss Muffet accroupie près de moi
S'est retournée et a dit : vous voyez ?
Les petites ficelles sur l'araignée géante ?
La fermeture éclair du monstre du lagon noir ?
Les bouches d'aération des réservoirs d'où sortent les bulles ?
(Et les volets sur le côté de la lune)
La gelée et la peinture sur l'ampoule de 40 watts
Qu'ils utilisent quand la bave dégouline
Les plis et les rides dans le rocher en carton
Et la toile de la grotte est trop molle
Les costumes, les chapeaux et les cravates sont trop larges
Et trop courts pour le scientifique
La chimiste avec l'esprit étroit
Et le monstre vient de dévorer le Japon
Mesdames et messieurs,
Le monstre,
Que les paysans de la région appellent Frunobulax
(Apparemment un très gros caniche)
Vient d'être aperçu s'approchant de la centrale électrique
Les balles ne peuvent pas l'arrêter

Nous devrons peut-être utiliser la force nucléaire !
