El Compa Foo

I want to talk to you a little about my life,
Like everyone else's, I think it was hard.
I was born in Santa Ana, California,
I never liked school and I used to skip,
I hung out in the neighborhood with the cholos,
It was a waste of time, it didn't take me anywhere,

I decided to move to Houston, Texas,
But working a straight job doesn't get you anywhere these days.
I saw big guys enjoying themselves,
And that appealed to me, and a light bulb went off in my head,
If they can do it, I can do it too.
I got into smuggling in a big way and now I'm doing well.

I don't boast about having a lot of money, but,
I have what I want and what I used to dream about.
But I have never lost my humility,
And I don't like to humiliate others because money runs out.
I remember my grandfather's advice,
The one who helps is the good one and the one who humiliates is worth nothing.

Without fear of telling a lie,
Thanks to God today I am someone in life.
I have enjoyed both the good and the bad.
I spent some time locked up, but I came out with new goals.
I never forget those who helped me,
My friends are numbered, not forgetting my family.

I love a game of volleyball,
Card games, not to mention,
I don't like to argue, whether I win or lose,
Because I'm a man of law, I don't fight.
As long as my work keeps paying off,
I will keep enjoying it until the day comes.
