לכבוד הקיץ שהגיע כתבתי שיר
אמנם אני עוד לא מזיע, אבל איני מסתיר
את תשוקתי אל העונה ששמה קץ לקור
ולכבודה עם עפרון כתבתי שיר מזמור

עם בגד ים יצאתי פעם אל חוף ביום אביב
שמיכה מבד, עיתון ביד ושמש מסביב
מצאתי חול פנוי מכל אדם ובהמה
ואת עצמי פרקדתי בין ים ליבשה

חלום אביב עולה
ואותי הוא ממלא

מציל בטל שכב בצל, השגיח על הנוף
ושתי זקנות על כסאות אמרו לו בוקר טוב
אדון פועל המתעמל פשט מכנס שחור
הוריד חולצה, נתן קפיצה וסלטה לאחור

ואותי הוא ממלא

הגיע זוג שבא לדוג עם אוהל מידי
בנו ביתם אל מול גולן, שני מטר לידי
ובינתיים אל המים רצו קיטנים
עשרים וארבע ילדות ושנים עשר בנים

ואותי הוא ממלא

אחרי שעה הכל הפך לנחלת הרוב
ארטיקים מתלקקים ומטקות על החוף
והחלום שבא פתאום נגנז ונעלם
השאיר אותי למנוחתי עם אלף איש בים

For Summer

For the summer that has arrived, I have written a song
Although I am not yet sweating, I cannot hide
My passion for the season that puts an end to the cold
And in its honor with a pencil I wrote a hymn song

With a swimsuit I went out once to the beach on a springtime day
Blanket made of cloth, newspaper in hand and sunshine all around
I found free sand from any human and beast
And I laid myself out between the sea and dry land

A lifeguard on watch was lying in the shade, overseeing the scenery
And two old ladies in chairs said good morning to him
A working gentleman exercising took off black pants
Removed shirt, did a hop and a backflip

There came a couple who came to fish with a tent by hand
They built their home facing Golan, two meters away from me
And in the meantime some children ran to the water
Twenty-four girls and twelve boys

After an hour everything had turned into public domain
Popsicles being licked and paddleball on the shore
And the dream that came suddenly was shelved and vanished
Left me for my rest with a thousand people in the sea
