Fiz um rancho beira chão
Trançado de vara boa
Fiz sem pressa trabalhando

Abacate, manga e banana

Quem vem visitar meu rancho
Eu recebo com apreço
Quem traz um sorriso amigo
A Deus sempre agradeço

Por que eu não tenho endereço
Sendo assim não tem surpresa

Tem gente que não entende
Este meu viver isolado
Quando eu falo dá risada

Mas isso não me incomoda

Ser chamado de caipira,
É não estudar, e ser diplomado.

Diploma

I built a hut out on the ground
Braided out of good, strong wood
I built it slowly, taking my time
Working only when I felt like it
I built a big footbridge
Over the stream
I measured it myself, it's no more than ten meters
From my door to the lagoon
At the back of the hut there's
Avocado, mango, and banana
I planted yuca and potatoes

My little hut is small
But it's good enough for me
There's not much to do
To fill my days...
I have a dog that barks
About three times a day

I call him Whirlwind
I have three cows
