Per carità, io non ci ho niente contro la montagna
E neanche contro il tennis, o il cricket, o lo squash
Ci dev'essere uno strano godimento a sentirsi inutili
Perché sono tutti più allegri più ottimisti
E tutti via a sciare e vela, wind-surf, equitazione golf, bello
Secondo me per essere bravi in quegli sport lì
Non è che bisogna essere proprio imbecilli, però aiuta
Poi un po′ di bella vita, un po' di soldi non fanno schifo a nessuno
Si diventa più belli, più puliti
Un'ora di palestra, una doccia, l′amore
La pienezza dei sensi, la natura

In our homes, but also outside,

Nor against tennis, or cricket, or squash.
There must be a strange pleasure in feeling useless.
Because they are all more cheerful, more optimistic.
And off we go to ski and sail, windsurf, ride, play golf, great.
In my opinion, to be good at those sports
You don't have to be a complete idiot, but it helps.
Then a bit of the good life, a bit of money doesn't hurt anyone.
You become more beautiful, more clean,
