Ils ont bu du vin et se sont mis à parler. Ils avaient maintenant des choses plus importantes à dire. Et lorsque la voiture est tombée en panne, ils ont commencé à marcher. Où allaient-ils sans jamais connaître la route ?
N'importe qui peut voir la route qu'ils empruntent. Elle est pavée d'or. Et il fait toujours beau. Ils n'auront jamais froid. Ils n'auront jamais faim. Ils ne vieilliront jamais et ne deviendront jamais gris. Tu peux voir leurs ombres s'éloigner quelque part. Ils ne rentreront pas chez eux, mais ils s'en fichent vraiment. Ils voulaient l'autoroute. Ils sont plus heureux là-bas aujourd'hui, aujourd'hui. Leurs enfants se sont réveillés et ne les ont pas trouvés. Ils sont partis avant que le soleil ne se lève ce jour-là. Ils sont partis en voiture et ont tout laissé derrière eux. Mais où allaient-ils sans jamais connaître la route ?
