Das erste, was ich sah, war ein Kalender an der Wand
Als ich die Augen aufschlug und las gleich, was da stand:
Es war das Jahr 2095 im April
Ich wollte gehen, mir wurde schlecht, ich stolperte und fiel
Über irgend etwas und dann sah ich, dass das Ding
Eine Lochkarte war, die an meiner Zehe hing
Die steckte ich sofort in den Computer, der da stand
Und erfuhr dann auch sofort, warum und wo ich mich hier befand

Diese Geschichte ist nur ein böser Traum
Und dass die mal wahr wird, glaube ich kaum
Denn schon setzen sich Menschen dagegen zur Wehr
Und jeden Tag werden es mehr!

Vor hundert Jahren wurde ich, so kam es jetzt heraus
Besoffen eingeliefert in dieses Krankenhaus
Ich hatte keinen Ausweis bei mir, darum hat man mich
Einfach eingefroren, wie es hieß versehentlich
Ich öffnete die Tür, um mich ein wenig umzuschauen
Da saß ein Mann, der Zeitung las mit angesengten Brauen
Er sagte gar nichts und ich berührte seinen Arm
Und merkte, dass er tot war, dabei war sein Pulsnoch warm

Diese Geschichte ist nur ein böser Traum
Und dass der mal wahr wird, glaube ich kaum
Denn schon setzen sich Menschen dagegen zur Wehr
Und jeden Tag werden es mehr!

Die Zeitung hob ich auf und las, da wurde mir auch klar
Warum ich gerade jetzt enteist und auferstanden war
Es war die Rede von der größten Bombenexplosion in der Geschichte
Und dass sie vor einer Stunde schon stattgefunden hatte
Und Ort der Zündung wär′
Die allertiefste Stelle im Steinhuder Meer
Durch die Druck- und Hitzewelle, das sieht wohl jeder ein
Musste all das Eis um mich herum geschmolzen sein

Diese Geschichte ist nur ein böser Traum
Und dass der mal wahr wird, glaube ich kaum
Denn schon setzen sich Menschen dagegen zur Wehr
Und jeden Tag werden es mehr!

Ich tappte durch den Korridor, kam in den Krankensaal
Aber da stank es nach Aas, ich sah Leichen überall
Schon kam's mir hoch, ich riss ein paar Toilettentüren auf
Leider saß da überall schon ein Toter drauf
Ich kotzte, wo ich stand, schloss mich in der Dusche ein
Und fragte mich, wie′s wär, nun auf der Welt allein zu sein
Ich wusch mich und verbrauchte eine Dose Deospray
Gegen atomare Strahlen, vom Scheitel bis zum Zeh

Als ich mich wieder besser fühlte, ging ich in die Stadt
Alle Häuser waren aus Plastik, kein's war hoch und glatt
Es war düster auf den Strassen, ich sah kaum wohin ich ging
Weil der Atompilz immer noch schwer auf den Dächern hing
Ich sah im Schaufenster ein Buch mit dem Titel "Unserer Stadt"
Das nahm ich mir, indem ich die Ladentür eintrat
Moskel hieß die Stadt, las ich und man ahnt es schon
Sie reichte vom Rhein bis tief in die Sowjetunion

Diese Geschichte ist nur ein böser Traum
Und dass der mal wahr wird glaube ich kaum

Und jeden Tag werden es mehr!

Ich dachte: "Das ist auch nicht mehr alles so wie früher hier!"
Dann sah ich ein Pornoheft, beim blättern schien es mir
Das da alles noch beim Alten war. Gleich wurde mir bewusst
Das ich hundert Jahre schlief, ohne Sünde, ohne Lust
Dann erst sah ich, dass ich nackt war und ich schämte mich
Denn auf einem Stuhl hinter mir bemerkte ich
Ein Mädchen, das hielt noch in der schwarz und roten Hand
Den aus feuerfestem Material gedruckten Goetheband

Diese Geschichte ist nur ein böser Traum

Und jeden Tag werden es mehr!

Ich lief zurück zur Klinik, um ein Mädchen aufzutauen
Um ohne langes Zögern, die Welt neu aufzubauen
In der Gefrierabteilung zweiter Klasse waren alle tot
Doch fand ich die erste Klasse schnell in meiner Not
Hier lief als Extrasicherung ein Notstromaggregat
Doch fror ich bei der Kälte nicht, als ich den Raum betrat
Denn hundert Jahre ohne Frau, ihr wisst schon was das heißt
Ein Kolben, mit dem hätt' ich jeden Gletscher aufgeschweißt

Doch diese Geschichte ist nur ein böser Traum

Doch als ich sah, wer da alles unterm Eise lag
Traf mich die Kälte plötzlich wie ein Hammerschlag
Alles alte Weiber, die Haut verschrumpelt blau
Das Tal in allen Farben, aber unterm Nabel grau
Da lag die Tankerkönigin mit ihrem Hund im Eis
Mir gefror auf der Stirn der ohnehin schon kalte Schweiß
Denn die Pille ewiger Jugend, fiel mir plötzlich ein
Könnte ja für diese Monstern schon erfunden sein

Ich hielt es da nicht lange aus, ging durch die nächste Tür
In den Männersaal. Politiker und Greise lagen hier
Fast alle wegen Korruption und Meineid abgesägt
Hatten sie sich selber für ′ne Zeit auf Eis gelegt
Mit dem Wissen, die Summe ihrer größten Schweinereien
Würde eines Tages, völlig umgedreht als rein
Historisch große Tat durch die Geschichtsbücher gehen
Wenn sie einmal wieder aus dem Eise auferstehen

Ich stellte mir voll Ekel diese Kreaturen vor
Sich begattend, die Erneuerung der Welt im Chor
Grölend feiern, Wechselbälger erzeugen die
Ebenso brutal und skrupellos wär′n wie sie
Die Erde neu bevölkern, diesen guten alten Stern
Um sie nach tausend Jahren vielleicht wieder zu zerstör'n
Und wieder fror ich, rannte grübelnd hin und her
Nicht wissend, wie die Katastrophe zu verhindern wär

Doch ich suchte, bis ich einen Haufen Holzpflöcke fand
Unten angespitzt, nahm einen Hammer in die Hand
Um den Herrschaften, noch vor Beginn der Nacht
Die Hölzer ins Herz zu treiben, wie man′s mit Vampiren macht
Ich ging zum ersten besten, holte aus zum Schlag –
Wachte auf und sah, dass ich in der Badewanne lag
Weil die Ärzte meinen, dass es gut wär' das zu tun
Schrieb ich die Geschichte nieder und hier ist sie nun

Talking-Bad-Dream-Blues

The first thing I saw was a calendar on the wall
As I opened my eyes and read what it said:
It was the year 2095 in April
I wanted to leave, I felt sick, I stumbled and fell
Over something and then I saw that the thing
Was a punch card, hanging on my toe
I immediately put it in the computer that was standing there
And immediately found out why and where I was

This story is just a bad dream
And that it will ever come true, I hardly believe
Because already people are resisting it
And every day there are more!

A hundred years ago, as it turned out
I was brought drunk to this hospital
I had no ID with me, so they
Just froze me, as it was said accidentally
I opened the door to look around a bit
There sat a man reading a newspaper with singed eyebrows
He said nothing and I touched his arm
And realized he was dead, but his pulse was still warm

This story is just a bad dream
And that it will ever come true, I hardly believe

And every day there are more!

I picked up the newspaper and read, then it became clear to me
Why I had just been defrosted and resurrected
It spoke of the biggest bomb explosion in history
And that it had already taken place an hour ago
And the place of ignition was
The deepest point in the Steinhuder Meer
Through the pressure and heat wave, as everyone can see
All the ice around me must have melted

This story is just a bad dream

I stumbled through the corridor, came into the ward
But it stank of carrion, I saw corpses everywhere
I felt like throwing up, I tore open a few toilet doors
Unfortunately, there was already a dead man sitting on each one
I puked where I stood, locked myself in the shower
And wondered what it would be like to be alone in the world
I washed myself and used up a can of deodorant spray
Against atomic radiation, from head to toe

When I felt better again, I went into town
All the houses were made of plastic, none were tall and smooth
It was dark on the streets, I could hardly see where I was going
Because the mushroom cloud still hung heavy on the roofs
I saw a book in the shop window with the title "Our City"
I took it by kicking in the shop door
Moskel was the name of the city, I read, and you can guess it
It stretched from the Rhine deep into the Soviet Union

This story is just a bad dream

I thought: "This isn't all the same as it used to be here either!"
Then I saw a porno magazine, as I leafed through it, it seemed to me
That everything was still the same there. I immediately realized
That I had slept for a hundred years, without sin, without lust
Only then did I see that I was naked and I was ashamed
Because on a chair behind me I noticed
A girl, she was still holding in her black and red hand
The Goethe volume printed on fireproof material

I ran back to the clinic to thaw a girl
To rebuild the world without hesitation
In the second class freezer everyone was dead
But I quickly found the first class in my need
Here, as an extra precaution, an emergency generator was running
But I didn't freeze in the cold when I entered the room
Because a hundred years without a woman, you know what that means
With a piston, I could have welded open any glacier

But this story is just a bad dream

But when I saw who was lying under the ice
The cold suddenly hit me like a hammer blow
All old women, their skin wrinkled blue
The valley in all colors, but below the navel gray
There lay the tanker queen with her dog in the ice
The already cold sweat froze on my forehead
Because the pill of eternal youth, it suddenly occurred to me
Could already be invented for these monsters

I couldn't stand it there for long, went through the next door
Into the men's ward. Politicians and old men lay here
Almost all of them had been cut down because of corruption and perjury
They had put themselves on ice for a while
Knowing that the sum of their greatest villainies
Would one day, completely reversed, be seen as pure
Historically great deeds would go through the history books
Once they rose from the ice again

This story is just a bad dream
And that it will ever come true, I hardly believe

I imagined with disgust these creatures
Copulating, renewing the world in chorus
Celebrating bawdily, producing changelings
Who would be just as brutal and unscrupulous as they are
Repopulating the earth, this good old star
To destroy it again after a thousand years perhaps
And again I froze, ran back and forth brooding
Not knowing how to prevent the catastrophe

But I searched until I found a pile of wooden stakes
Sharpened at the bottom, took a hammer in my hand
To drive the stakes into the hearts of the gentlemen before nightfall
Like you do with vampires
I went to the first one I saw, took a swing -
Woke up and saw that I was lying in the bathtub
Because the doctors think it would be good to do that
I wrote down the story and here it is
