À travers l'obscurité, la lumière brille, pénétrante,
Celui qui me suivra ne marchera jamais dans les ténèbres,
Mais marchera avec la sainte lumière de la vie.

Trop longtemps, j'ai marché dans les ténèbres, perdu et piégé par le péché,
Trop longtemps, je me suis autodétruit, laissant entrer tous les poisons,
Trop longtemps, je t'ai désobéi, Dieu, me rebellant de toutes les manières,
Plus pour longtemps, je refuse de vivre mort, dans les ténèbres chaque jour.
