The essence of the message worried me
I wanted to make sure we were speaking the same language
I didn't want to ignore my commitment

My intention with this song is to make one thing clear
That any religious sect is just as dangerous
As the silly idea of a gospel that doesn't confront you

We don't go to the studio to make a hit

That the integrity of the message is non-negotiable
