Házím hruškou planou.
Sotva kdo to ví,
že je tak trpká,
Až ústa trnou.

Nechtějí se vzdát,
Unikají.
Doma na ně čeká
Nesvá sojka cvičená.
Ať si lépe bydlí
S kruhy místo židlí.

Příjdeš,
Všecko zkazíš.
Obyčejný kruh,
Co po vodě pluje,
Stane se čtvercem.
Házíš
Kámen z jezu,
Proráží si vzduch
A stane se ihned
čtverhraným terčem.

Zbylé kruhy rukou chytám,
Nechtějí se dát,
Unikají.
Doma na ně čeká
Moje sojka cvičená.
V pokoji mém bydlí
S kruhy místo židlí.

Rings on the Water

I throw a wild pear.
Hardly anyone knows,
