Att og fram æ like kronglent. Ut og inn æ like teitt.

I travel around by car and at night I stay in hotels.
My job is to drive around in a Volvo over Norwegian mountains.
The wife always says: "You're lucky you get out!"
But I'm not so sure, I'm just driving and honking!

Stuck in a massive traffic jam, disco music on the radio.
Rain, slush and the windscreen washer tank is empty.
Burned a hole in new trousers, the road was like a washboard.
Tonight I'm staying at a boarding house in Indre Klett.

With a Bible in the drawer, and a toilet in the hall.
A lumpy bed that creaks and groans like crazy.
A neighbour who snores through the thin walls.
I don't have a cushy job, if you want it you can have it!

Back and forth is equally awkward. In and out is equally tight.
I should have been driving a BMW, that would have been sweet.
Imagine sleeping in a four-poster bed in a luxury room at Storefjell!
Tonight it will be a small boarding house in Hell.
