هر که شد محرم دل در حرم یار بماند
وان که این کار ندانست در انکار بماند
صوفیان واستدند از گرو می همه رخت
دلق ما بود که در خانه خمار بماند
اگر از پرده برون شد دل من عیب مکن
شکر ایزد که نه در پرده پندار بماند
از صدای سخن عشق ندیدم خوشتر
یادگاری که در این گنبد دوار بماند
اگر از پرده برون شد دل من عیب مکن

Harame Yaar

Oh, you whose heart has become a confidante of the Beloved, you will remain in the Beloved's sanctuary;
And you who have not understood this work, you will remain in denial.
The Sufis have abandoned all their possessions for the sake of wine;
Ours was the patched robe that remained in the tavern.
If my heart has come out from behind the veil, do not find fault with it;
Thanks be to God, it did not remain behind the veil of conjecture.
I have not seen anything sweeter than the sound of the discourse of love,
A memento that will remain in this revolving dome.
