Naród nasz dumny niczym dąb stary
Niezmiennie rośnie przez mielenia
Korzeń oplata ziemi filary
Gdzie prochy przodków-echo istnienia
Wzbija się w górę pień jak kolumna
Baldachim nieba zdolny utrzymać
Żywego drzewa siła ogromna
Płynące lata w słojach zaklina
Tysiąc konarów, gałęzi sieć
Spod zielonych liści dobiega śpiew
Wody i ziemi pradawna pieśń
Na wieki ukryta w szelście drzew
Ponad koroną orła ślad
Ściga się z wiatrem dzielny ptak
Patrzcie na niego córko i synu
Niechaj to będzie wasz znak
Przysięgam polskiej mowy strzec
Bo język to narodu skarb
Dopóki zdolnym unieść miecz
Na straży granic będę stał
Ślubuję chronić ją i czcić
Ojczystą ziemię matkę naszej krwi

Uderza piorun -srebrzysty ogień
Próbuje rozbić dębu monolit
I chociaż konar nie jeden płonie
Prastare drzewo uparcie stoi
Wicher jesieni liście porywa
Zostawia suchy drewniany szkielet
Mróz go w uścisku stalowym trzyma
W śniegu spowitym niczym w popiele
Lecz jak po nocy budzi się dzień
Tak wiosna rozjaśni zimowy mrok
Słońce zakończy głęboki sen
I życie zwycięski zatoczy krąg
Nie złamie dębu wiatr nie grom
Ni zimy srogiej lód i szron
Gdzie biały orzeł gniazdo założył
Tam wybudujesz swój dom

Oak

Our nation proud like an ancient oak
Unchangingly growing through millennia
Its roots entwine the earth's pillars
Where the ashes of ancestors echo existence
Its trunk rises like a column into the sky
Capable of holding up the canopy of heaven
The living tree's strength is immense
It enchants the passing years in its rings
Thousands of branches, a network of boughs
From verdant leaves a song emerges
An ancient song of water and earth
Hidden for ages in the rustle of trees
Above the crown, the eagle's mark
A valiant bird racing the wind
Look at it, my daughter and son
May it be your sign
I vow to safeguard the Polish language
For language is a nation's treasure
As long as I can lift a sword
I will stand guard over our borders
I swear to honor and cherish her
Our paternal land, mother of our blood
To live for her until my last day
To be strong and faithful
Lightning strikes - silvery fire
Trying to shatter the oak's monolith
And although more than one branch burns
The ancient tree stands steadfast
Autumn's gale tears away the leaves
Leaving a dry, wooden skeleton
Frost holds it in a steely embrace
Enveloped in snow, as if in ashes
But just as day awakens after night
So spring will brighten winter's gloom
The sun will end the deep sleep
And life will victoriously complete its cycle
Neither wind nor thunder will break the oak
Nor the ice and frost of winter's fury
Where the white eagle made its nest
There you will build your home
I vow to safeguard the Polish language
