To stolica płonie w smutku,
śmierć zabiera wszystkie dzieci jej.
Oddajcie im młodośc, którą zabraliście,
Oddajcie im wolność, którą zhańbiliście,
Oddajcie im sny, w spokojnych ich domach,
Oddajcie rodziców, oddajcie znajomych.
Daliście starość, zabraliście młodość,
Daliście niewolę, zhańbiliście wolność,
Daliście domy doszczętnie zniszczone,
Zabitych rodziców, zabitych znajomych.
Choć te małe oczy łzami się zalały
Spoglądając na tych, co padają za nic.
W domach ich dziecinnych dominował rozkaz:

Poszarpane myśli w twojej głowie są.
Nic już nie pamiętasz, walczysz o swe życie
W śmierdzącym kanale, pośród wrogów stu.
Śpijcie słodko me aniołki,
Kule wroga już nie groźne wam.
Teraz już was nie dostaną
Wrogie szpony okupanta łap

Little Insurgent

Where are you now, dear children?
What drives you? Is it courage?
Or is it just a childish game -
To go to the enemy with a stick in your hand?
You were not meant to enjoy your youth,
Nor to enjoy your childhood carefree.
The beauty of those days turned into hell
And then there was only darkness,

Your blood flows through the streets.
The capital burns in sorrow,

You do not remember anything, you fight for your life
In the stinking canal, among a hundred enemies.
Sleep sweetly, my little angels,
Enemy bullets are no longer dangerous to you.
They will never reach you now
