La Carriole à Franges

Curly: Quand je t'emmènerai ce soir avec moi,

Tu seras assise derrière un attelage de chevaux blancs comme neige,

Curly: L'un est comme la neige, l'autre ressemble plus à du lait.

Laurey: Il a dépensé tout son argent pour louer un attelage, et maintenant il n'a personne pour monter dedans!
Curly: Si! ... Je ne l'ai pas loué. J'ai tout inventé.

Curly: Le tableau de bord et tout.
Laurey: Oh! Va-t'en d'ici! Tante Eller, faites-le sortir d'ici! Il me raconte des mensonges!
Curly: Inventer quelques... attention! Inventer quelques jolies choses n'est pas interdit par la loi, que je sache.
Tu n'aimerais pas qu'il y ait un tel attelage, quand même. Tu pourrais aller à la fête et danser jusqu'au matin si tu en avais envie... Et quand tu serais épuisée, je te soulèverais sur la carriole, et je sauterais à côté de toi - et nous pointerions les chevaux vers la maison... Je peux imaginer le tout.
