لـي مـرت الأيـام وتزايـد الخـوف
شـب الجمـر زاد اللظـا فـي خفوقـي
باللـه يـا وقـت العنـا عجـل وطـوف
متـره المولـع مـ الولـه مـا يشوفـي

خذنـي تمهـل يـا زمـن بيـّه وروف
انـا دخيـل اللـه تجبـر ظروفـي
ابغـي اخفـف عبـرة(ن) داخـل اليـوف
لـا جيـت بحكـي مـا تساعـف حروفـي

تاهـت بـي الخطـوات واعـذار الظـروف
ضاعـت علـى جسـر الرجـاوي هتوفـي
حاولـت اخفـي دمعتـي صـرت مكشـوف
خانـت بيّـه دقـات قلبـي الرجوفـي

توعدنيـه وتقـول اصبـر وبتشـوف
سامـح حبيبـك دام قلبـك عطوفـي
بسألـك اذا مـا فيـه احـراج وكلـوف
ويـن الـذي عقـب الصبـر لـي بيوفـي

لـا بـاس يـا مـن صـار لـي قاسـي وعـوف
الشمـس تشـرق بعـد ظلـم الكسوفـي
مـا دام غيـر اللـه والباقـي ضيـوف
وانـا لغيـر اللـه مـا ارفـع كفوفـي

Night of Embers

As days pass and fear increases
The embers' flame rages within my heart
Oh, cruel time, please hurry and pass
The lover engulfed in passion sees nothing else

Take your time, gentle time
I beg you by God to ease my pain
I long to lessen the burden in my heart
When I try to speak, no words come

My steps falter amidst the excuses
My hopes are lost on the bridge of desires
I tried to hide my tears, but they became visible
My heart's beats have betrayed me

You promised and said, "Be patient, and you'll see"
Forgive your beloved, for your heart is kind
I ask you, if it's not too embarrassing
Where is the one who will fulfill their promise after my patience?

It's alright, my cruel and distant one
The sun will rise after the darkness of the eclipse
As long as there is only God, and the rest are visitors
To none but God do I raise my hands
