Đường thương đau đày ải nhân gian
Ai chưa qua chưa phải là người
Trong thói đời, cười ra nước mắt
Xưa trắng tay gọi tên bằng hữu.
Giờ giàu sang quên kẻ tâm giao,
Còn gian dối cho nhau.

Người yêu ta rồi cũng xa ta
Nên chung thân ta giận cuộc đời
Đôi mắt nào từng đêm buốt giá
Bên chiếu chăn tình xa nhịp thở,
Tiền đổi thay khi rủ cơn mê
Để chua xót trên lối về

Những suy tư in đậm cuộc đời,
Mình còn ai đâu để vui
Khi trót xa vũng lầy nhân thế.
Cỏ ưu tư muộn phiền lên xám môi.

Bạn quên ta tình cũng quên ta
Nên trắng đêm thui thủi một mình!
Soi bóng đời bằng gương vỡ nát,
Nghe xót xa ngời lên tròng mắt.
Đoạn buồn xa ta đã đi qua
Ngày vui tới, ôi còn xa.

Venom of Life

The path of sorrow and exile is human
Those who haven't walked it aren't human yet
In the venom of life, laughter brings tears
Once poor, you'd call out to your friends.
Now, with wealth, you forget your confidants,
And deceive one another.

My lover left me, and so did you
And so, I resent the world forever
Whose eyes have ever ached nights on end
On a lonely bed and empty heart,
Money blinds when it casts its spell
And leaves only bitterness on the road home

Life's musings are etched deep in my mind,
I have no one left to share joy
Since I left the treacherous swamps of the world behind.
Weeds of sorrow and worry choke my lips.

Friends have forgotten me, as has my love
And so, I waste away alone in the dead of night!
I gaze upon the shattered mirror of my life,
And feel a pang of grief in my eyes.
I've left the sadness behind
But joy remains elusive.
