ٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ وَزِينَةٌ وَتَفَاخُرٌۢ بَيْنَكُمْ وَتَكَاثُرٌ فِى ٱلْأَمْوَٰلِ وَٱلْأَوْلَٰدِۖ

(اه، ها، ها) ها، ها، ها

أَنَلهو وَأَيّامُنا تَذهَبُ
وَنَلعَبُ وَالمَوتُ لا يَلعَبُ
عَجِبتُ لِذي لَعِبٍ قَد لَها
عَجِبتُ وَمالِيَ لا أَعجَبُ
عَجِبتُ لِذي لَعِبٍ قَد لَها
عَجِبتُ وَمالِيَ لا أَعجَبُ

أَنَلهو وَأَيّامُنا تَذهَبُ
وَنَلعَبُ وَالمَوتُ لا يَلعَبُ
عَجِبتُ لِذي لَعِبٍ قَد لَها
عَجِبتُ وَمالِيَ لا أَعجَبُ
عَجِبتُ لِذي لَعِبٍ قَد لَها
عَجِبتُ وَمالِيَ لا أَعجَبُ

أَيَلهو وَيَلعَبُ مَن نَفسَهُ
تَموتُ وَمَنزِلُهُ يَخرَبُ
نَرى كُلَّ ما ساءَنا دائِماً
عَلى كُلِّ ما سَرَّنا يُغلِبُ
نَرى كُلَّ ما ساءَنا دائِماً
عَلى كُلِّ ما سَرَّنا يُغلِبُ

أَنَلهو وَأَيّامُنا تَذهَبُ
وَنَلعَبُ وَالمَوتُ لا يَلعَبُ
عَجِبتُ لِذي لَعِبٍ قَد لها
عَجِبتُ وَمالِيَ لا أَعجَبُ
عَجِبتُ لِذي لَعِبٍ قَد لها
عَجِبتُ وَمالِيَ لا أَعجَبُ

نَرى اللَيلُ يَطلُبُنا وَالنهَارُ
وَلَم نَدرِ أَيُّهُما أَطلَبُ
وَكُلٌّ لَهُ مُدَّةٌ تَقْضي
وَكُلٌّ لَهُ أَثَرٌ يُكتَبُ
وَكُلٌّ لَهُ مُدَّةٌ تَقْضي
وَكُلٌّ لَهُ أَثَرٌ يُكتَبُ

أَنَلهو وَأَيّامُنا تَذهَبُ
وَنَلعَبُ وَالمَوتُ لا يَلعَبُ
عَجِبتُ لِذي لَعِبٍ قَد لَها
عَجِبتُ وَمالِيَ لا أَعجَبُ
عَجِبتُ لِذي لَعِبٍ قَد لَها
عَجِبتُ وَمالِيَ لا أَعجَبُ

أَيَلهو وَيَلعَبُ مَن نَفسَهُ
تَموتُ وَمَنزِلُهُ يَخرَبُ

Ajibtu

Know that life in this world is only entertainment, enjoyment, adornment, and boasting among you, and multiplying in wealth and children. It is like rain whose growth pleases the farmers, but then it dries up and you see it turning yellow and then it becomes straw. And in the Hereafter there is severe punishment, and (there is) forgiveness from Allah and (His) pleasure. And the worldly life is only a fleeting enjoyment.

We entertain ourselves, but our days are passing
We play, but death is not playing
I wonder about he who has already played
I wonder, why shouldn't I wonder?
