Hina manusia tak berbudi

Ke sawah menuai padi, bekal dilupa jangan
Hidup bersendikan budi, sombong jangan amalkan
Hilang bahasa kerana emas, hilang budi kerana miskin
Budi ditabur tak hendak dibalas
Baru sempurna zahir batin

Budi bahasa budaya kita
Jadi amalan bersama

Contohi akhlak mulia dari Nabi junjungan
Walau dicaci, dihina, ditempuh dengan iman
Sarat perahu muatan pinang
Singgah berlabuh di Kuala Daik
Jahat laku lagi akan dikenang, ini kan pula budi baik

Be virtuous and well-spoken,
Let it be your constant thought.
Although your appearance be beautiful,
Wisdom and kindness are what matter.
Guard your language and virtue,
Be mindful of etiquette.

You'll be remembered for your service and kindness,
Like a wise sage whose spirit lives on.
Though your body and soul may part,
Your name will be spoken fondly.

The morning flower, the flower by the shore,
The lotus beside the stream,
Iron is devalued by rust,
A human being is devalued without virtue.

When you go to harvest rice in the field, remember your provisions.
Live your life with kindness, and avoid arrogance.
Wealth can corrupt your speech, and poverty can corrupt your virtue,
Spread kindness without expecting anything in return,
And you'll achieve true harmony within yourself.
