The Lighthouse

Your body was the ship of my dreams,
Your breasts a rudder of double help,
Your mouth a harrowing and hard bow
That led me to the bottom of exile.
Through you I know of inlets never open,
Through you I know of a volcano of red color.
Through you I discovered the secret lighthouse
And one night without light its eye called to me.
I have sailed in you as in a ship
Where my passions were concentrated.
I made your soul an act of my life
To make you forget my obsessions.
The bow led me to your reef
And on it I shipwrecked with joy,
Since to love is to sail without direction
And to shipwreck is slow poetry.
But it is all useless because a ship
Betrays the navigator without hesitation,
If you were asked for your captain,
Tell them that the lighthouse's light blinded him.
